Boss you are running away from the discussion at hand......a wild card is given to defending champ or a diamond league holder but not to two people from the same country in the same event.....in the men 3000 SC Koech got the wold card and Kemboi was a normql entrant by Kenya.....FACT.

You are both right and wrong.

The truth is that the wild card by IAAF has always been in place for the defending champions in the world championship (not sure about Olympics). But last November the IAAF decided to also extend the wild card to include diamond league winners. But there was a condition that if the defending champion and the diamond league leader are from the same country, the country's Association will decide who among them would get the wild card. You can now interpret the lest as to who benefited from IAAF and who benefited from AK. Considering that both did not finish among the top two in our trials, both should thank AK because AK had the power to choose any of them. We can also say that Koech benefited from the November decision by IAAF because chances are that AK would not have picked him. Koech does not perform well at altitude and that why he is always unable to qualify but does better than Kemboi in the diamond league. Looking at this team. It will not be a surprise if Kemboi finished 3rd (Beaten by Koech and the youngster)

That 100m women's final is going to be more competitive than the men's,Jetta,Gardner,Okagbare,Ahoure,Fraser Price...i pick Fraser Price as the favourite for gold.

Gold belongs to Price....after watching the semis I think Obare might no make it to the medal bracket.
