How do you consider price fluctuations due to very small share transaction e.g. a 10% drop in safcom's price due to 1000 shares transacted & you are yet to tell us your base divisor period as some shares have already undergone splits & some bonus issues. Please don't put yourself on a pedestal let others do that on your behalf coz one is as good as the reality they bring forth & not on the existing info.....

@deal, tafadhali don't brag here. We do know about Dow, how it started, why it came up, how many dow indexes are out there, why later on a divisor had to be introduced etc. You started your research thing just the other day, please don't let it get to your head coz 2 fundies have approached you. You still have a long way to go bro, copying & pasting ideas, news & data from different sites & news forums does not make you a pro! Some of us actually do this for a living & pay bills from it & if i may add for many years thus it might be true that we are not on the same level!

@erifloss stop this thing right now...show me your work first then we can talk...some of you people are not happy when others are doing good...the money i have made from the NSE this year is money you will dream off...i don't need to be a pro..my work speaks for itself...once again show me your work...then we can talk for now you are not at my level..we cant talk anything...and get off my back..if you are not happy with the index don't use it...

Bro we've got two kinds of people on earth, those who love being praised & the others. To close this i'm no show off & yes you are creme de la creme. Btw you've still not told us what the base period of your divisor is? FYI for S&P's is 1941-43, Sensex 78-79 etc DOW's index is in its 10's of thousands & yet only follows 30 stocks coz of the divisor..! Thus please indulge us with an answer or is it a copy & paste as we are all thinking!
