What good news is expected to drive NSE20 to that level

Am looking at the trend. Today the mkt closed at 3,968.75, if the same level of activity will be seen on Equity, Safcom, KCB, the 4000 mark will be met .

As we approach Safcom FY16 we should see some excitement

I am expecting a flat dividend on Safaricom. Immediately after news hitting the headlines sending panic shockwaves to investors across the world, this stock will come down crashing to establish new trading level. Most of the profit will be retained for expansion and upgrade.The NSE20 will begin shedding substantial points. I am projecting more than 500 points cut before year end.

Spikes for heaven's sake can you one day say something positive

i actually stopped taking him serious

Laughing out loudly I know his always so negative. Pray that you never get such a negative person as an employee..he/she would work at poisoning your staff...and I am talking from experience...headache!!!

I am not negative. I am brave enough to tell stories never mentioned by stockbrokers!

Note words in blue. Actually spike was very optimistic even more than @Reatreaty. It is after he got burnt to recognition in all his Holdings that his heart changed and he became bitter. I don't take his words kama ile gazeti walisema ya nyama, don't even digest his words because you won't get meaning.Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Nothing special. I was just pointing it out to @murchr.

Its my psychological mark of optimism. I will be collecting gems.

And what's with Kengen?

It's trying to base out. Heavy volume came in Jan and Feb at around 5.50 - 6.50 level and the reversal started. If it were not for the huge rights issue overhang I'd have started accumulating. On TA it's now approaching tough resistance zone between 9 - 10 level. This level will likely reject the bulls.

@VituVingiSana
SEACOM has its owners so safaricom has no unused capacity.They have to buy capacity in them.
As for TEAMS unless they buy more stake to make them majority shareholders with more than 50% of the capacity.
These can be funded with their retained earnings.

As for the improvement in call quality and data speeds these they can be improved using their Capital expenditure plans for the financial year.
Regional partnesrhips the best way to go is to either form strong partnesrhips with the providers there or acquire stakes and have subsidiaries like MTN and Airtel have done so that you have one seamless network.But with acquiring stakes they have been locked out of Tanzania and Uganda as Vodafone has subsidiaries there so maybe an interconnect would do.

@murchr
As for KENGEN maybe there is an upcoming major announcement that will excite investors in a few days to come.

@Ericson, I dont think spending so much money in another underground infrastructure is worth it, my thinking is they should invest in more connected things like @Masukumas AfyaBand. The internet of things will change how we interact and do business
