NSE20 might hit 4000 next week

4054 was the high this month on Apr 7 while the open was 3982 for the month. Nothing going on and it's almost month end. Flat tyre. I need to see vol spike and a retest of 4400 before I can get excited that the base is forming.

Am looking at the trend. Today the mkt closed at 3,968.75, if the same level of activity will be seen on Equity, Safcom, KCB, the 4000 mark will be met .

As we approach Safcom FY16 we should see some excitement

I note that the following situation prevails at the moment

1. Tbill rates are back to single digit levels (9%) for the last 2 weeks and there is nothing to suggest they are going back up soon.
2. The two banks that were offering high fixed deposit rates have collapsed and investors are bound to be scared of similar banks
3. The shilling has been stable since the beginning of the year
4. Stock prices are at their lowest in recent times

Do these factors suggest that we may see a flight of domestic capital towards the stock market within the next 2-4weeks?

many thought after results releasing season ends the market with start a second tanking but many stocks have since recovered from their all time lows, this is when i ignore every prophet and act as myself

The market will tank. It is a matter of time before we see another deeper leg south.

I am expecting a flat dividend on Safaricom. Immediately after news hitting the headlines sending panic shockwaves to investors across the world, this stock will come down crashing to establish new trading level. Most of the profit will be retained for expansion and upgrade. The NSE20 will begin shedding substantial points. I am projecting more than 500 points cut before year end.
