The price is still way too high for this stock and with a rights issue on the way, I shall buy 100 shares at 45 or below and then wait.. Fair value ignoring all
emotions is KES 32

So my sale at 31/= early this year was ok? I needed the cash badly then!

still trading at a premium price of kes 40.. buyer beware. but we are getting close to its real price

Corporate Finance 101: When a company doing a rights issue it is a signal that it has projects to undertake that are profitable and will increase shareholder value. on the other hand when a company pays out a huge dividend it is a signal that the company has no more projects to undertake and has no use for the cash. this is a BUY for me

@30, we must re-enter! thats where the value lies and since some guys bought the monkey at 45 or higher, it will be a real bargain

A back of the hand calculation gives 60 bob as the breakeven point for buyers who got in today and want to exit cum rights.
How high will the price go past 60 or will it even get there ?
I guess thats how we will find out how well the rights issue will do.

Iv never tried to buy traded rights. What are the odds of being able to own some via direct purchase when the rights start trading??

it's a bit dilutive. post rights and even during the period of uncertainty I don't see it going below 36.00.
I'm sure the big boys will be more than happy to increase their holding from those who will lapse the rights. I'm only wondering what the allocation ratio will be coz I sold everything except 100 shares and hope to apply for extra rights
