As majority had predicted, spurs and the blues battled for a draw in yesterday's game. A good result for the gunners. It was a good match though the spurs were denied a genuine goal and the last ditch effort by Ade denied by the under fire Terry. We await the so many fixtures between now and 1st wk of Jan. Even though @kyt and Co. do not understand the predictions game, I predict a 3-1 win to Arsenal.
I hope RVP will score two to break Alan Shearer's record of 34 premier league goals in one year. Currently,RVP has netted 32 goals. This one i could say 5-0! may be i feel we must win with a big margin to overtake Chelsea. Spear its 34 goals for our flying Dutchman to equal another Gunner's hero and he needs two to equal Shearer's Record of 36. thanks for the correction @Nobby, RVP has equaled King Henry's 34 goals (2004), I hope RVP nets 2 to equal Shearer's record. on other news, Arsenal welcomes last night London derby draw. We will edge out the pensioners from position 4, next will be spurs. "You're not supposed to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who says it". Malcolm X

The 1 all draw in London was welcome for all top teams, but this thing of linesmen getting their calls wrong is hurting so many teams in such crucial matches! Some of the calls are so obviously wrong!Anyway, good news for us,Phil Jones has no facial fracture and should be fit to face Wigan,as for Ashley Young,a few weeks out but we're coping with well with Valencia and Nani - can't wait to have the full squad back for the run in (of course without Vidic)!Hopefully we wiil be within touching distance of City (or even on top ) BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

This Boxing day fixture seems will cause a lot of re organisation of the standings just by the face value. Copy paste the table initially and you will see what i mean after the matches. African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

True. City draw against West Brom, oh my. They'll now be under pressure in their next game. Chelsea draw at home to Fulham, third consecutive draw. Liverpool's inconsistency continues with a home draw against bottom side Blackburn. While United blank Wigan 5-0. Red Devils joint top. I now see why some teams have to score manyy goals. There shall come a time, oh the time is already with us. When after looking ath the points the standings shall be decided by the goal difference. EPL gets interesting. Rampant Man u now joint top with city separated by GD. City unexpectedly drew with WBA. Chelsea also drew with Fulham. Me thinks City have started to shake a bit and Man U might take advantage. The gunner need to leapfrog Chelsea and set their eyes on the other London neibas. Interesting stuff. I think its still to early to predict the winner, Man Utd have been impressive lately but then again they've had some faily "easy" fixtures.... they face Blackburn at home next, another 5-0 scoreline is expected. From Jan 22nd the league will take shape, we have Man City Vs Spurs; Arsenal Vs Man Utd; Chelsea vs Man Utd; Liverpool Vs Spurs; Man Utd Vs L'pool; Arsenal Vs Spurs; L,pool Vs Arsenal; SPurs Vs Man Utd.....by March 3rd tutajua who the winner will be. Good news for Arsenal fans, Wilshere to start running this week while Sagna has already resumed training. By the time we play Man Utd at the Emirates all our top players will be fully fit....plus the prospect of having Henry for two months. Today we move above Chelsea with a win against Wolves, next is Spurs!

If recent history can be used as an indicator, Man Utd's Form improves on the second half of the season. There is nothing like easy fixures (Man City lost Points to WBA; Chelsea lost points too, to a team beaten 5-0 by Utd)
However, all said Its Not over until its over. Arsenal is likely to loose points tonite.

I think Wigan should appeal against that red card....Man Utd would probably have won either way but still it was a wrong call by the ref. Phil Dowd is probably the worst referee i've seen in a long time. This is the same guy who always makes a point of either sending off one of our players (Arsenal) ama awards a penalty against us in controversial circumstances.....still can get last seasons game against Newcastle out of my head.

@Taz, I've always said Phil Dowd is a horrible ref. I cringe every time he refs an Arsenal match! The quality of the linesmen has greatly improved this season. They get most calls right (esp. offsides, disallowed goals). It's time they looked into the quality of the referees. Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

@Jguru,I think you have not watched a match where the linesmen have made bad calls, they've been horrible this season - Man Utd vs Newcastle;Stoke vs Spurs,Chelsea vs Spurs, and many more.If you watched those you'll know what am talking about. Many teams will be buoyed by City shooting blanks at West Brom n will play them with less fear.@Taz,don't assume the big teams will only drop points in fixtures where they play other big teams,City n Chelsea dropped points yesterday where least expected. For me am happy my team is scoring more and hopefully we keep the same rhythm before injured players rejoin, everytime one player gets well another goes off (Evans ou for 2 weeks but Rio may play against Blackburn).I don't see Liverpool making 4th or even 5th spot at this rate.Leo I see Spurs drawing at Norwich n Arsenal beating Wolves 2-0 BEER IS LIVING PROOF THAT GOD LOVES US AND WANTS US TO BE HAPPY!

@ Smano....I agree there's a possibility more points will be dropped against the small teams but you cannot compare that to dropping points against your main rivals. I'm sure Chelsea felt some sort of relief when the heard Man City had also dropped points. I've looked at how the fixtures will look like between Jan and Mar....any points dropped at that point will be very costly. What makes it all exciting is the introduction of FA Cup, Carling Cup, Europa ndogo and CL matches. I just hope all our top players will be fully fit during that period.....especially Wilshere, we need him back.
