Should we be disturbed by corruption or tribalism and their effects which 'we' are participants in?Well nothing concrete will change except maybe some bruised and some satisfied egos here and there.

let's talk about 'real' issues now....While corruption has real and tangible losses... what everyone keeps on calling 'tribalism' but is ideally ethnicity is only a perception. no one here really cares or knows who the registrar of operative societies is... coz we really don't care to know...we don't even know what the office does. however in the poisoned climate we are having if the current holder whoever he/she is gets fired and a person with a name like 'kariuki' or 'kamau' is hired - we start caring!! ethnicity is all about perception (ngongoz as we call them here) it's not real it's just perceived as an evil.

You do realize that corruption is also about perception with real and tangible profits.

let me ask my fellow kyuks... remember 2008 when Kibz was prezzi and people were baking mkate nusu? remember it was unthinkable for 'us' to allow Raila akuwe Prime minister? Watu walishinda Serena wakinegotiate... but that was overcome...Remember the 'big' issue of whether he would be PM via an act of parliament or by amending the constitution? it felt like it was quite a robbery to give him PM and more so to enshrine it in the constitution. But it happened and Kenya moved on - NOTHING CHANGED. the poor remained the same poor people. the rich were not vamiwad by the poor nor did 'njaruos' refuse to pay rent or all those things we had been told about - we had a large gava where the three presidential candidates were represented as PORK, VP and Waziri Mkuu... AND WE LIVE THROUGH IT. Perhaps we need the wisdom that comes from the past to show us that even if 'we' agree to 'national dialogue'... even if it results in a 'mkate nusu' or aliar apewe slice moja - NOTHING CONCRETE WILL CHANGE!! perhaps some egos will be bruised but no real change negative or otherwise will happen.

Thats for sure bro/sis but why should it always happen that the same single person wants to reap where he should not, then there is no need for election we can as well just share the top seat with all the presidential candidates instead of always amending constitution to suit a single guy

That would not be a democracy (which is what they so claim to be fighting for)

Mpeketoni killings are political - EU ambassador

http://www.the-star.co.k...political-eu-ambassador

Quote:

THE EU has echoed President Uhuru’s sentiments that the Mpeketoni attacks were politically instigated. European Union Ambassador Briet Lodewijik said the charged political temperatures in the country might have been a finger pointer towards the spate of violence and criminal activities witnessed in parts of the country.

“Yes I agree with the President that the violence that occurred in Mpeketoni was a result of political inflammatory statements being fuelled by the opposition,” he said. The envoy was speaking during the morning Cheche talk show on Citizen TV yesterday.

Lodewijik said holding the country at hostage and declaring Saba Saba a holiday charges the minds of the public hence the spontaneous attacks in some parts of the country.

couldn't find the original youtube link to watch, but this would be an interesting statement especially because the US and the UK have stated the exact opposite of that

Internal Colonization, as David Ndii puts it. I hope he has a solid helmet.

Meanwhile, the TJRC report will not see the light of day if the powers that be have anything to do with it.

Mososo Ibrahim Lucas is the ODM man and one of the masterminds behind Mpeketoni attacks. Captured on CCTV footage looting a supermarket with the gang after the attacks!

He is the same man who led the youth to Tononoka for Babu Riek's gathering.
