@freiks if it was not a serious matter i would have laughed. @mc is your source reliable.

The gun is said to be a Kenyan Police Reservist gun by GOK.......mine wasn't a joke!

The place is vast and hunting bee in such area requires one to be well armed to thwart any attack from the wild animal roaming about!

let's continue supporting inflammatory speeches from these people. after all if the director of some obscure government department is a man with whom i share a language and some rituals with - I benefit immensely simply because of this fact. My small brain identifies with him - my brain somehow convinces me that his gain is my gain. that his loss is my loss. when he drives a government vehicle and jumps traffic - I somehow benefit more that people who are in the same ma3 with me from another ethnic group. Conversely, I lose immensely if a person from else where is picked to handle this said department. I mean - who really knew/cared that there was a registrar of trade unions?

I dont know why the majority think like this..

I think tribalism is purest form of upumbavu.

let me ask my fellow kyuks... remember 2008 when Kibz was prezzi and people were baking mkate nusu? remember it was unthinkable for 'us' to allow Raila akuwe Prime minister? Watu walishinda Serena wakinegotiate... but that was overcome...Remember the 'big' issue of whether he would be PM via an act of parliament or by amending the constitution? it felt like it was quite a robbery to give him PM and more so to enshrine it in the constitution. But it happened and Kenya moved on - NOTHING CHANGED. the poor remained the same poor people. the rich were not vamiwad by the poor nor did 'njaruos' refuse to pay rent or all those things we had been told about - we had a large gava where the three presidential candidates were represented as PORK, VP and Waziri Mkuu... AND WE LIVE THROUGH IT. Perhaps we need the wisdom that comes from the past to show us that even if 'we' agree to 'national dialogue'... even if it results in a 'mkate nusu' or aliar apewe slice moja - NOTHING CONCRETE WILL CHANGE!! perhaps some egos will be bruised but no real change negative or otherwise will happen.

Should we be disturbed by corruption or tribalism and their effects which 'we' are participants in?Well nothing concrete will change except maybe some bruised and some satisfied egos here and there.

Thats for sure bro/sis but why should it always happen that the same single person wants to reap where he should not, then there is no need for election we can as well just share the top seat with all the presidential candidates instead of always amending constitution to suit a single guy

let's talk about 'real' issues now....While corruption has real and tangible losses... what everyone keeps on calling 'tribalism' but is ideally ethnicity is only a perception. no one here really cares or knows who the registrar of operative societies is... coz we really don't care to know...we don't even know what the office does. however in the poisoned climate we are having if the current holder whoever he/she is gets fired and a person with a name like 'kariuki' or 'kamau' is hired - we start caring!! ethnicity is all about perception (ngongoz as we call them here) it's not real it's just perceived as an evil.

Elections are just for us to move forward... move on! some people came and indoctrinated us on the sanctity of elections and the electoral process and we tend to hold it up in a manner to suggest that it's a sacred event... Elections are just a form of war that we engage in so that we don't fight a real one!
