This league is soo interesting. Teams beat bigger teams and drop points to small names. Mancity reclaim their top spot after losing it for a couple of hours.

Man City Vs Arsenal was a good match, a bit evenly balanced but City edged it. They got too much quality all over but are not invicible. The race for the title seems to be over for the Gunners, but they were never in it. The can only work hard for fourth.

Man U had a routine win. Nothing more to add.

Chelsea still had somehangover after beating City. and what happened to the Cech, I guess after the head injusy he has never really gotten back to his best.

Tottenham doing quite well, they might just be the surprise team.

Midweek fixtures coming up. Spurs Vs Chelsea, the pick of the bunch.

In all fairness to Arsenal they played well, the game was a see saw affair with both teams having chances - City had chances to close out the game with the Zabaleta strike that hit the upright and Nasri's over hit pass that went past Balotelli;both keepers kept their teams in the game too. Arsenal can take heart from the way they played and will feel hard done by the draw. Ignasi, who came in left back after Djouro was injured was not too bad actually.

My beloved could have easily won the game 5-2 but we were wasteful in front of goal and the QPR keeper had a great game too;Campbell totally wasted them when he missed a sitter that could have made for a very nervy finish. I was delighted to see Chicharito back so soon and Jones and Carrick played well in midfield. We can get maximum points in Dec away to Fulham and at home to Wigan n Blackburn.

Chelsea drew coz of Cech's howler, Spurs are definite Top 4 contenders and Liverpool seem to be better at hitting the woodwork (15 times this season) than scoring more goals but they're now same points with gooners so it'll be a tight Top 4 finish.

This thick and fast Dec fixtures are the reason why EPL players perform very poorly in major tournaments e.g. the upcoming Euro 2012. FA compromise to make moeny and at the expense of fatigue to players.

ION, Santos were taken back to baby class by Barca - Messi and Xavi the orchestrators of the orchestra. Neymar who???

@ Smano, my prediction is that Spurs slump will come sooner than we all expect. They've been relying so much on the brilliance of their wingers (Bale and Lennon), thats why they struggled against Sunderland yesterday. Bale missed the match because of an ankle sprain while Lennon was taken off after he suffered a hamstring injury.

4 matches between now and 2nd January.....i believe these fixtures can and will define how things will be in May.

@Taz, well they may but they have been seeing off games more than they were last season and they still have depth, same thing with City, which is the biggest difference. Even Arsenal are able to hold on to a scoreline and see off a match unlike last season. So all teams have improved even on character, which is why the league is tougher. But like you say, end of Dec will be defining

The Man City vs Arsenal game last night was like a cup final. One of the best matches to watch so far howbeit very nervy for both fans. Its a match that was decided on a moment of slip up from Arsenal defense. It was a match that could have gone either side or could have been scoreless. This now makes Arsenal way behind the leaders who if they sustain the form could easy lift the cup this season. However Arsenal have come a long way from the horrible start in August and have improved immensely. They should be proud that despite the fact that they lost by a slip margin and walked away without a point, that are a batter team and could face anyone in their day. Kudos to Joe Hart, he saved they day.

Fans of Europa League teams should just shut up and concentrate on winning Thursday night matches first. Liar

@ jguru, you might have to swallow your words on that one...please see he link below.

However, frankly I don't see it happening and if it does, we might just be embarassed by Bayern Munich. But stranger things have happened...

My take:

Villa vs Arsenal - 0:2 - Villa without Agbonlahor & Bent
City vs Stoke - 2:1 - City able to choke out wins at home
Fulham vs United - 1:2 - Fulham was bogie team but Utd look reborn
Wigan vs Liverpool - 1:1 - Wigan confidence
Spurs vs Chelsea - 1:1 - Chelsea employ the tactics they used against City

I expect low scoring games because of fatigue - but there's never a dull moment in the premier league.

The Fifth official on ESPN soccernet reckons Balckburn & Bolton should bring along their candidates for replacing the coaches whichever team loses tonight so that fans can vote by a show of handsLaughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Aston Villa vs Arsenal 0-3
Man City Vs Stoke City 3-1
Fulham Vs Man Utd 1-1
Wigan Vs L'pool 1-2
Tottenham Vs Chelsea 0-1

Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool have all failed to beat Fulham....i think Man Utd will have to dig deep to get anything from them.
