Surely when this thread has 500 posts, you know the n.s.e is not far from the bottom, or is there. Now what everyone needs is an entry strategy. I've seen someone revive a thread on the best move of the year, funny i thought. Plus its august.

Its a common phenomena markets slow down in october as investors start consolidating their accounts, bear in mind the current bearish trend will bite further when all factors combine.

Wapi NSSF, nkt!! Laughing out loudly

Western Central bankers are meeting this weekend in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. At last year’s event, Fed Chairman Ben S. Bernanke’s hint of a second round of asset purchases, or quantitative easing, spurred a 28 percent jump in the US S&P 500 through April. Secondary effects on the NSE may be felt come early next week...

Global stocks rise slightly as Bernanke sets a date for possible action next month. This may not be enough to entice big players from that region and its European affiliates to the NSE as we head to the confirmation hearings (& school fees payments). Like the two-and-a-half men (Ruto, Kosgey & Sang), the overall NSE may need some prayers! smile

The biggest tickle I get out of The Hague and Elections popular talk is that inspite it all...none of us has stayed home and abandoned their occupations and consumption. Perception Vs. Reality. Try telling ur employer u r staying home because there are hearings nxt month then come back and report to us. P.S: I don't discount a slowdown but discussions come out as if life in Kenya will stop.

I have been following this thread with some interest. I have not invested in stocks yet but intend to. Is this the right time to buy stocks while they at their lowest? Which stocks would you recommend?
