I had no idea we were this many on this flight. On top of good results, id hope investors are impressed. I could either be moving to first class or taking a parachute.

Huge sigh of relief. After tax profit up 67% with optimism for better 2010. Hope the market responds optimistically as well!

End year 2010 EPS was 4.4...1H EPS 2010/11 EPS is 3.11...Management says things can only get better..historically KQ performs better in the 2H...Book Value is 44...PE is less than 10...needless to say this is the most undervalued share at the NSE...now lets wait for 4th Quater Passenger numbers to add more taste to the story...

@BSS it seems your prayers and those of many others who would not admit as much have been answered. Now the second part of your prayer should have been to ask for the price to go upwards quick, preferably to rest somewhere around 60 which would honestly be only fair to long suffering KQ shareholders!
Don't gamble; take all your savings and buy some good stock and hold it till it goes up, then sell it. If it don't go up, don't buy it...

From Monday we are likely to see more activity on KQ. Me thinks the price will rise to over 50 by end of the week. Depending on the performance and if we will not have strikes, into the new year we will move to 70 as we await FY results.

Management was optimistic about 2H (well, 3Q anyway) but there is a cashflow impact in 2H if the Hedges remain underwater...

KQ can make enough to cover the cash needs/requirements of the payments to the counter-parties...

What excites me is the growth in the network... If they can manage the high RPKs then they can grow revenues + profits!

Management has indicated they will not budge (much) to the unions demands... That is a huge PLUS coz the wage bill is up KShs 1.4bn [14.4% of costs] without a corresponding increase in productivity...

Amen to that! I hope your words turn out to be a prophesy because i can't wait for the turn-around of KQ fortunes ... i cant wait ...
