@ Kadonye

I just saw the last 10 minutes of the Bench, am waiting for 10 o'clock to watch the complete interview.. he has some interesting argument about probable transition problems in 2012 - that Raila will be in charge when Kibaki's term expires. I think he is supporting his argument with the sixth schedule of the Draft Constitution and the National Accord. Does this make sense? Can a lawyer out there shade some light? Jeff says that after the removal of Mutahi's column from Sunday Nation, then the paper is not worth buying anymore!! no ! no! hapana Jeff, hata wewe kumbe ni bure !!!

In 2003 when Mutahi Ngunyi warned of an impending violent election of 2007 he was dismissed as a joker, airhead and reckless journalist see here [http://eyesonkenya.org/blog/?p=37[/u] . The same thing is happen today. I chose to believe him.

I am again asking....what will be the situation in Kenya if we dilly dally and go for the next elections with the current bad constitution since we all agree that the proposed constitution is better than the current one?.....
One thing for sure is that we cant go to another referendum before June 2011....there may be no money to take us through the process again if we are to start again.....Moi said mtazungushwa....and I think he is working so hard to prove himself .....there is no other time we will be this close to a new constitution.....mark this words .....

Im not the author ...but I share the same sentiments ...

TUANGUSHE, TUREKEBISHE KISHA TUPITISHE.

This is the new catch phrase from the NO team, they want to defeat the draft constitution, repair and then pass. What they are not telling their followers is the following;
What legal phamework are they going to use to repair an already rejected draft? The constitutional review act has no provision for a rejected draft but only amending an already passed draft.
What budgetary allocations and logistics do they have in place for a new round of collecting and collating views from all over Kenya, hire experts to carry out the writing of a new draft, print and disserminate that draft, conduct countrywide civic education on that new draft etc, all these by December 2010?
How realistic is this going to be? To achieve all these in just 4 months after August 2010?
These are liers, and lies are not hard to see through. If someone is genuine, they would tell you to achieve all these, you need atleast another 3-5 years at the very least. So the earliest any new KATIBA can be achieved after August 2010, supposing we fail this one, is in 2017 because as soon as we hit next year, none of these politicians will be bothering about KATIBA, they will be getting ready for a new electioneering period in 2012. Given most of them are likely to have a hard time going back to Parliament, they will start early campaigns and will have no time for KATIBA matters. Who then will lose in this process, the gullible, easy to fool Kenyan who shall have listened to them.

They will then have a go at raising their salaries at will because they shall have killed the daft that would have put a stop to that.
They will continue non performing and absentism in Parliament because there will be no recall clause.
They will continue enjoying ill gotten wealth as you get over taxed to pay their fat salaries.
The MPs telling you to defeat this draft are very smart as they know they want to maintain the status quo. Then we will be back at cursing, whinning and crying as we carry the burden of the nation and helpless to do anything. The draft KATIBA gives us the opportunity to fix the system and make it work. It is our chance to fix things without having to plead with Parliament to do so for us, most cases which they don't anyway. Only the easiest to fool can buy this nonsense of TUANGUSHE, TUREKEBISHE KISHA TUPITISHE.

If we do this, we will soon be mourning and gnashing our teeth as taxes kill us to pay MPs to become super paid richest in the world, as it is, they are among the best paid MPs, higher than almost all well developed country leaders!!!

See through the lies, don't be fooled!!!!

Today Mutahi Ngunyi will prove his doubters wrong. One of his hypothesis and Game theory column has been proved right by High Court.

Njoki Ndung'u, who ironically now sits in the Supreme Court should be embarassed at her strong criticism of the columnist.

But maybe,...just maybe there is more to come.

Kenya now rerembles a headless chicken thanks to bad politics coupled with activism. Without a doubt, kenyans are drunk with politics and the activists are now busy pickpocketing the hapless drunks. In my assessment, baks will still be in office by June 2013 thanks to an uncertain election date, a guaranteed tribalized runoff, and another 20-30 days handover period. I just wish I could just hibernate till 2014.

this constitution created a Legal fLAMEwork. I over heard Omutata "Omunyololo" lamenting on how this constitution is focused on redistributing the cake but not in making the cake larger. it was a typical Leftist constitution...Rights, Rights, Rights...no Responsibility, Responsibility, Responsibility (except for government) its like money comes from thin air.
