I expected LivArs to be a cracker but lineup betrayed all that. Emery should know when to use his newly acquired players and those promoted. If Kolasinac and Laca started maybe it would have been an even match. We are still in a good position knowing that other teams had not a very good results

I don't think so. Kolasinac is good going forward but suspect defensively. Laca rarely performs in away matches and VVD would have eaten him up.
The tactics were good, leave space on the wings and let Liverpool cross and cross then attack on the counter. Pepe gave VVD a torrid time.
It almost worked but for individual mistakes by the two CBs.
