FIDA is forgetting to apply basic economics. The elasticity of suppy for these 'goods' is zero where we have perfect substitutes. A decline in supply of a 'good' will not create any decline in consumption. behavioral economics actually puts it that a decline in supply of a major 'good' will actually create a surge in demand of the substitute,to levels higher than the initial demand....
Plainly put, your wife who was suppying 3 units of good per week, feels that FIDA are right and follows their advice to the letter. After two days, you decide enough is enough and you seek for a side-kick; the behavioral economics kicks in and the goods are supplied twice daily for 7 days... giving a total of 14 units for the 7 days of FiDA boycott....a 367% increase....
Life is worth living cos God planned it to be so.
