For those of us intending to be in the race for 2022, my interest is in the likely alignments and re-alignments we are likely to see.

I am looking at our previous transitions i.e. 1978, 2002 & 2013 and the power cabal surrounding the outgoing president lost out big time in each of the cases.

I need to know how to align myself early enough. This is how Jubilee got its votes.

GEMA bloc - 5M
N.Rift (Incl.Narok) - 2M
Others(N.E.P, Kisii)- 1.4M

M
The North Rift bloc is under WSR. Who might the 5M rally behind ? Who will be the running mate ? Let nobody tell me the party because we know things don't work that way.

I highly doubt UMK will have that much influence towards 2022. Had Kibaki gotten his way, our 4th president would have been MADVD.

Where are those figures from?

8th Aug 2017 IEBC published results.

Thankyou.

So we are in agreement that Uhuruto garnered circa 8.4Million votes on 8/8.So hi narrative ya Jubilee got 6.8M is a lie yo be repeated many times....

Kindly ask Kony yo stop his drama and you get back to your old objective self tujenge Kenya Yetu.

Laughing out loudly smile Applause d'oh! Sad Drool Liar Shame on you Pray

If you followed the duos pronouncements during the campaigns, the DP's post has as much as gone to the Kamba. GEMA will have to wait for a generation to see one of their own in Ikulu - unless they align with Nyanza which is unlikely.

No but you can trust their self interest. A Kamba running mate makes more sense than a Meru or Somali or Coast. Numbers my brother.

But don't take my word for it. Watch the unfolding of project "Kalonzo-arudi-nyumbani" or the energentic burnishing of Sonkos image that has already began.

True..Again their is no one leader at the moment the entire GEMA can coalesce.Nyanza should also expect a visit by an abrasive ruto deni ya 2007 lazima ilipwe I.e if raila is not on the ballot

Alright chief, here we go:

1. Muranga 590,775
2. Meru 712,378
3. Nyandarua 336,322
4. Kericho 379,815
5.Uasin Gishu 451,485

there you are my friend. I confused Kericho with Uasin Gishu.

What you have is a list of how people voted in 8/8/2017 and what I have is a list of registered voters as at 8/8/2017.

Good work. See why I like numbers. Because they can tell their own story without our intervention.

Which numbers would you want us to work with. registered voters or the ones who actually showed up to vote. Me i prefer the latter.

The 5 central counties led the whole country in %age turnout on 8th Aug 2017.

Something about Meru voters.
1. In 2013, they voted in two MPs on an ODM ticket.

2. In Aug 2017, 170,000 voters didn't show up to vote. And of those who voted, 55,000 went to Rao. That's why Muranga ended up giving more votes to Uhuru than Meru.

3. In Oct 2017, the number of those who didn't show up to vote went up to 250,000.

When Munya claimed to have joined the NASA pentagon, we all laughed but very powerful people took notice. The guy is headed to the cabinet. We are likely to see WSR keeping him close in the coming days.

I think we are headed to very interesting times. If you look closely at the voting blocs that are predictable and united, they all rally behind one powerful figure.

WSR in 2005, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2017.
Uhuru in 2013 & 2017
Kibaki in 2007 (92,97 & 2002 some sections didn't support him)
Rao in 97,2002, 2005, 2007, 2010,2013 & 2017.
Moi in 92, 97 & 2002.
Nyachae in 2002.
Kalonzo in 2007.

All the other voting blocs are usually up for grabs. Luhya, Kisii, N.E.P, Coast.

And now it seems we might walk into 2022 with the largest vote bloc up for grabs.

@angelica, Look at all the men above who commanded their vote blocs at some point in their lives. Research on how they got to the top. None was given on a silver platter. They fought very hard for it. Do you still want to add Kiunjuri's name to this list ?
