Please do not. Much as I belabor my view, you actually have a point.

I need your tenacity to interpret the numerous obnoxious situations arising from this thirty day registration period.

The registration clerks in the field cannot transfer a registered erector from one polling station to another.

You have to go to the constituency IEBC head office.

This registration clerk has data of registered erectors for that polling station only.

Yet they have a laptop computer with over 8gb of memory.

Hypothetically, if the 22 year old PYT I am sponsoring is a student at MT. Kenya University wants to elect Ms. Waiguru, she will have to make arrangements to travel all the way to Kerugoya and register as an erector.

She cannot do this at the registration center at MT. Kenya University.

Does this strike you as odd?

not really! i remember a certain case i run into in a small land-locked country - one with one neighbour. what happens if you register your transfer 2 times? which one supercedes the other? (not saying this is the reason by the way - just mentioning what I experienced).

in this case, the IEBC got over 700k transfer requests and opted to push the data capture of these request upstream.

I am a student at Mombasa University.

My home county is Kirinyaga.

I would love to vote for Ni Ya Sweetie.

I cannot register here at the Mombasa University registration center.

I cannot afford to travel all the way to Kerugoya with Njaanuary brokenness.

Isn't this denying Ni Ya Sweetie her rightful votes and thus vote rigging?

What if the student registers at Mombasa then goes to the constituency IEBC office to change? Ama one have to go to the IEBC office of where they want to vote?

In the current registration center (Mombasa) "I" was referred to the Current-Residence Mombasa Constituency Head office.

At the Current Mombasa Constituency Head Office, I was referred to the Destination Constituency Kaitheri Polytechnic Registration Center in far off Kerugoya.

"I" cannot afford to make travel arrangements because of my current financial improvisation.

Is voting for JP and NYsweetie worth this hassle?

No, "I" am not registered.

Personally, The last time I registered was during the Ubuogable Yote Ya Wezekana, bila Moi - Kibaki Tosha - ECK Era.

I did not participate in this boimetric gizmo whatever.

The student is soliciting some funds from me to travel to Kerugoya to go and register.

The student is not registered too. She got her National Identity Card recently.

Register where you are! there is no law in kenya baring you from registering anywhere in the country (this is the reason we have all these transfer requests - 700k)
