@ jaribu, you really go on and on. you give new meaning to the sayings:

1. Good travels at a snail's pace but evil has wings.

2. A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.

FYI kibaki has always run deacons in kenya way before he was president and like most astute businesspeople is 'growing' his business empire otherwise it defeats the purpose of starting a business in the first place.now while we are busy pointing finders...Moi did it,Kenyatta did it and i am willing to bet the next guy will do it.in short....stop pretending you live in heaven while this world is clearly hell...do what you came to do here and let God judge you when your number is up .

Lets not peddle lies.

Granted elections were not free and fair. Thats a very broad statement though.

The elctions were marred by ridiculous irregularities as a result of many factors:

- wanting competencies by the commisioners and their staff.

- Delibearate frustration by overzealous party youth, fed on propaganda - Remember they arrested a retinue of commision vans and even psv buses over alleged fake ballot boxes bla bla bla.

Police were even killed by these youths - the power of propaganda.

I dont know that Kivuitu was under any duress from Kibaki.

He infact expressed his reservation over certain party stalwarts who were blocking him from discharging his duties,i.e announcing the winner. After several pleadings he had to change the announcement venue after incessant and unnecessary interuptions.

Ati,KRA was kibaki's 'brainchild'... What a STUPID observation... Central taxing agencies have been around for many years... Ever heard of the IRS (which is predated by other taxing authorities in Europe & Asia)... and 'collection of taxes' is not brilliance... Brilliance is making (legitimate) income that ALLOWS for taxes to be collected...

The one positive thing kibaki has done... He has made 90% of Kenyans despise him...

Positives- good roads, economic growth, revival of institutions e.g kcc kmc, free education, improved democratic space, better delivery of gvt services, growth of middle class. NEGATIVE tribal appointments(greatest failure on kibs.it made his tribe be the object for hate from other tribes),corruption in gvt ranks by cronies(but unles u hate him dont say its worse than mois),indecisiveness, silence on critical matters
