How does the government expect people to use kumi kumi to report suspicious neighbors while they blatantly ignore reports of suspicious activity and even set suspects free? How incompetent/overwhelmed can they be. I hope by now Uhuru has realized this presidency thing is too big a job for him and given up hope of a second term.

Clearly Uhunye is overwhelmed. The presidency cost him billions and billions and then this? I hope he start vacating statehouse in 2016. In the same breath, I miss Kibaki. I remember he sent KDF to Mt Elgon, we complained about it, he kept them there and they did a thorough job.

In conclusion, the UK presidency is really disappointing.

Not really. TO use the army, a certain line has to be crossed. You really don't wish for the army to be sent there..it will be a whole different story.

dont ever wish the army is sent to your village. utajuta.

At this point it doesn't matter who is sent to deal with this mess. By harvesting a whole maize field for 2hrs these attackers are basically telling us that the police down there are useless ... And I'm even thinking that we now have different groups taking advantage of the confusion. Maybe by not seeming too alarmed kina Uhunye are trying to portray to the public that this is not a big deal in order to avoid panic but instead they appear clueless or like they don't understand the magnitude of the situation.

If I were the police there I'd have in place a curfew, I'd not jail these suspects in local jails but send them to undisclosed locations. I am sure Kenya has drones since they were supposed to be used to monitor elephants so I'd use those for surveillance especially in that forest.

In developed democracies, an apology and a resignation would be in order.

Come to think of it folks, it looks like the tycoons (garment is definitely part of it) are doing it again.........In Lamu there is there is a port to be built, a railway to be built to South Sudan ..........you have some pesky poor kikuyus sitting on prime property what do they do? Invent Ishmael Omondi and Idris Kamau to whack these kikuyus out, people are being chased from the entire area so tycoons can take premium port land. And the only way to sanitize the image of the militia was to first sacrifice Kikuyus, so that the militia would seem to be an anti government militia!!!!.....

Wow!! All along I thought it was the usual broken promises (during the Jubilee campaign) to the locals that they will get the elective posts (MP etc) while the other "Kenyans who can live anywhere in this country" were to stick to MCA...
