Having an army means looting, raping and killing.

I'd say the problem here is that the people who are supposed to be protected have found themselves as victims and it's like they are deliberately so, even if also 'unconsciously'. And this is a strange twist in the war against terror. For if the normal citizen will be terrified from all corners, then we can be sure that there's nothing like a war against terror. It's controlled terror on the masses.

When I look at where all this is leading, I see despair creeping into the terrorist hearts. It's like we are looking at the kicks of a dying horse. And the funny thing is that the horse is killing itself.

The looters have been sacked and jailed....The bad apples have been removed...

Two soldiers have been sacked and jailed in connection with the looting from shops at Westgate mall. The names of the two soldiers who have been sacked and jailed were given as Victor Otieno, Victor Ashihundu while the one still being investigated was named as Isaiah Wanjala. They were allegedly found in possession of mobile phones, cameras and battery chargers.

Besides being summarily sacked and jailed, the affected officers will lose all their terminal benefits and will also be blacklisted, meaning they cannot secure any employment in the disciplined forces or security firms, sources told Nation.

In all the press briefing I have watched, Defence Secretary Omamo always looks misplaced/bored.

The army did not steal and these are not theft but discipline and judgement cases, these and their families are victims of jicho pevu claiming it was theft and they had their supporters here. They were sacked for the poor decision by their CO Victor Otieno to allow his soldiers to take water from the supermarket, you were all up in arms and now that the officer who authorized is an Otieno, he is a scapegoat, na Oswago 1.3 billion theft je? Uhuru pleaded with the army that "we all make mistakes" on Sunday at mass with the army, let Otieno have a meeting with moha and the press and explain what was stolen now he is a raia
