Haya buda, usikonde.

But here's another piece about the unpredictability of the this season's competition because of many new coaches...

@Taz, i am a big fun of Bundasliga and i have been watching the way Dortmund play flawless football. I can assure you that they are going to top that group. It is among the few teams that has a subs-bench worth talking about. They have like 16 good regular players. They are even better than Bayern at the moment.

BTW ya mungu ni mengi, tuwache hapo.

Need to declare that i am a Man u diehard but open to discuss football without goggles unlike ....threads za hapo juu!!!

@King....I think it would ridiculous to claim that Dortmund has better players than Bayern. Anyway CL football is totally different from playing in the Bundesliga or Serie A, tukutane kwa kiwanja.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Robert Lewandawski are banging in goals for fun. Dortmund are going to be one tricky customer.

@Taz used of the word ridiculous is too strong and i wont take you on that one. But after re-reading my post, i errored. The better there supports the first sentence of their game and not players - hope you get it//debetable. Let me assure you they are good and they have game changers in their squad. Anyway December sio mbali. I rest my case.

This is a much better analysis from Garb Marcotti, showing the pros and cons of the favourite Top 10, I guess in order of how he views which stand the best chance of winning it. Sober analysis

Wayne Rooney: A player reborn, that was one of his most sublime performances in a United shirt.....a new signing indeed!

There was nothing "stupid" about Leverkusen's first goal, pure class......there also conceded one really silly goal.

I'm talking the behaviour of our defenders especially Rio before the goal!!!....not the goal itself!!!!

Rio needs to start watching his back...or at the very least learn to help Degea communicate...he should know better. The second goal was really stupid.
On the other hand I am glad for Rooney...and happy RVP is also banging in goals, which is good.
Happy Kagawa got some minutes, and Fellaini is doing a very decent job tidying that midfield. Within no time we will get to know the regular starters...Bring on citeh!

That was the best performance by Utd under Moyes, wachana na the opening FAPL game against Swansea. The Kagawa Fellaini combi worked well and brought a new dimension to our team that has been missing for a while, the more games Kagawa gets the more he'll get into his stride. Fellaini was a natural and it was a pity that all the corners Rooney took were short.

Our best signing was definitely Rooney staying, and playing in the position he likes most. If Moyes does not interfere with that then I have nothing to fear,20+ goals from Rooney and RvP each in the league and there's every chance we'll be right up there. You could even see his selfish self when he failed to square for RvP and went for goal (he claims it was the other way round, hehe)but a hungry Rooney is good for us. Ofcourse in the CL if you don't take your chances you're punished immediately. Rio and Smalling fumbled and the equalizer was spectacular, hata kama iligusa Carrick kiasi. I blame the 2nd Leverkusen goal on both Rio and De Gea, it took some shine off the win and we now lie 2nd in the group because of goals conceded at home.

Anyway, Manchester derby has all the ingredients of entertainment, City's confidence levels have been boosted by Kompany's return and Aguerro looks hungry man! Rio and Vidic will have to bring their A game that day and I can't wait for Johnny Evans to return.

@McDoba those stats for CR7 are mind boggling - half man half amazing. For me also he's the complete footballer, capable of replicating the same in any team (except Portugal, somehow).

Wacha tuone za leo. Napoli Dortmund could be a cracker

@Smano....Juve drew away to Copenhagen last night, they are usually very good in Serie A but just can't seem to replicate that performance in the CL.

Btw i think CR7's stats are so impressive (even though they are not better than Messi's) but i have always been of the opinion that he's not quite a complete player.

Skill & Technique

CR7....He is king of the step-over and has plenty more tricks up his sleeve that, with the help of his lightning pace, can take him past defenders. he can be guilty of one step-over too many or a bit of flamboyance & showmanship that wasn't really necessary; sometimes costing his team possession

Messi....He has a near perfect combination of technique, speed, balance and intelligence which give him the uncanny ability to sprint into a crowd of players and come out the other side with the ball still at his feet and in complete control. Whilst Messi isn't the fastest of sprinters, the speed at which his feet can move can seem almost impossible and combined with his abundance of skill, can often create the illusion that the ball is just glued to his feet.

- Team Play -

Messi....For someone with so much skill and so many solo goals to his name, Messi has a remarkable reputation as a team player and is very rarely accused of holding onto the ball longer than he should have done. His scoring record is obviously closely matched by Ronaldo, but it's the assists count that shows a clear gap in Messi's favour.

CR7.....Ronaldo has often been the subject of frustration for both fans and team-mates, often guilty of trying to do too much on his own when using a team mate might have been a better option. Despite this issue, his assist record is a very healthy one, although someway short of Messi.

Btw you can read more from the link below, i think its a sober analysis of the two players for the last 5 years.

That debate will never end...ni kama ya Maradona na Pele.

Juve were not clinical, the entire half after they conceded was theirs and just after the equalized but the Copenhagen goalie had one of those nights. I'll judge teams better after the group stages are through.

Messi has his fans around: This season we will see how Neymar is big for Brazil and almost carries them whereas somehow Messi will be better than his at Barca but can't carry Brazil!!!!

Barca is made for Messi, CR7 is made for any team!!!
