Are the candidates already PS candidates already pre-determined????

Thoughts from a HR friend of mine:
"Maybe I am poor at recruitment which I highly doubt anyway coz I would not be a HR then... However, I am yet to understand how the PSC was able to go through 2088 applications presented in hard copies for Principal Secretaries and come up with a shortlist of 155 in a couple of days. Soft copies yes, but barua kwa bahasha na copies of certificates attached etc cannot be that fast unless they had 100 people doing the shortlisting which in itself is not appropriate.

Compounding my failure to comprehend the whole matter is the fact that each candidate has been allocated 30 minutes to be interviewed for the position of a Principal Secretary (formerly known as Permanent Secretaries). If it is not very easy to objectively interview an Accountant/ Driver/HR Assistant/ Mechanic in 30 minutes then this position must be either highly overrated - which is highly unlikely - or that the 155 souls are simply attending some ceremony whose outcomes was well known in advance. I think the latter is the case.

The level of experience in most of the candidates whose names are in the papers would take them almost one hour responding to the first question which will be to introduce themselves. Some of the candidates have IDs whose numbers start with 00 which indicates that they have most likely seen more than 60 Januarys in their lives and have therefore worked for close to 40 years...."

Why is it that anyone associated with Mwau girls (INLAWS) has really got chumes to feed his family for the foreseeable future. I need to go back hunting for a wife and this time she has to be from Mwau family

30 Minutes interview is fine with me, after all this is not the first time the panel will get to know the characters. Wld one need more than 5 minutes to interview Caroli?? Lets not afford the panel the luxury of time!!

@Impunity Shortlisting means you met the selection criteria...

interview means if one is suitable for the job, it can be determined even before you sit down in the interview room!!

I thought this is the bullshit we are trying to get rid of!!! Business Men + Deals [Kenyan Styro] = Corruption.

McDoba - Comment on this story in general and the agents money in specific. What do your sources tell you?

How do you expect Jubilee to recover the billions spent on campaigns and build a reserve for the next elections? This is Kenya but you are free to wish and imagine.

Let him cut deals outside the government. People of questionable past do not have the moral authority to hold high profile positions like the PS or Cabinet Secretary. Good thing The PORK set the pace yesterday.

I wonder why @Mawinder is always encouraging corruption. Is this how we will ever achieve double digit economic growth????

double digit economic growth for who?Ruto fighting corruption?Uhuru achieving double digit growth by having a 120m merc and associating with Thuo who escorted him to Hague?

Doba are you Caroli in real life or is he your boy, you refuse to see any dirt on him even when he goes against your king! I would not have been too miffed to see Eliud Owalo or Micah Kigen applying but not Caroli. The guy has made too much money over the past 5 years! There is nothing in it for him beyond taking out insurance cover for his ill gotten wealth or an opportunity to increase his ill gotten wealth!

in a span of 5 yrs he bought himself a building in the CBD for some billions and some fellows think he is clean!!!
