Watesh is probably right about a dividend cut in the coming years. Debt repayment will take priority.

Lets not forget the two stocks wazuans have got totally wrong over the years from the days of SK.

Safaricom!!
Equity!!

I remember back then when Safaricom was trading at Kshs. 2.xy, a huge mojority here wrote it off especially when price wars were at the peak. And boy were people wrong!!! Spectacularly!!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Voice is making a comeback as a key revenue generator because of the poor performance of the economy and tough times.
Basic goods and services is what is selling

Safaricom HY results to be released on Thursday 10 November 2022

Revised to Friday 11 November at 7:30am

This might not be good results considering the announcement day

See the announcement time...

Relax.

18% drop in profit after tax

Dividend cut is coming

It's a definite buy sub KES 21

I have dropped my notes on these numbers here https://davismika.substa...aricom-h1-2023-earnings LONG POST ALERTsmile

Awesome post. If it was another stock with a trailing PE Ratio of 14.5, trailing dividend yield of 5.45%, and non-existent growth in net incomes I would expect it to fall significantly. But I don't know everything.

No one knows everything but we all know Safaricom at current price is a real bargain . Sub 20 approaching

HF 30,000 ABP 3.49; KQ 414,100 ABP 7.92; MTN 23,800 ABP 6.45
