@alphadoti and @guru could we be allowed to add the acronym AOM (Ass Of a Man) behind each muslim on this forum? so that when referring to @Alph we could just say
@Alphadoti AOM as apparently it's an endearing term? Tuko na ruhusa?

Those who say that Christians and Muslims worship the same God are incorrect. In the two religions, God is defined differently and has different and contradictory attributes. The views of God between the two religions are incompatible.

@Mo, would you give us attributes of God is each of the two religions? Show reference as well. You can just mention 4 main attributes, that way you'll not turn and oooh they are too many.

@Alpha, I'll stick only to one attribute and I hereby name it The Nature of Godplease donot move away from "The Nature of God"

In Christianity,
1. The Bible teaches that there is only one God Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10; Mark 12:29; 1 Corinthians 8:4, 6. God is manifested in three aspects Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

2. Jesus (God the son) confirmed this trinity himself when he said “Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.”John 17:5

in Islam,
I know those 2 points above are not the same.

my issue is that we are quoting texts not understanding....
1. when they were written
2. who wrote them
3. why they were written

@masukuma, you can pick each one of the three verses above which have been quoted without understanding and answer your three questions above.

@Mo, so one part of Bible says God is "ONE" as stated commandment no.1, said by Moses and said by Jesus. Other parts say God is "THREE" as said by Paul. Please explain who is right.

we always assume that the people that wrote these texts knew about the consequences of their actions and that they were 'deep' texts. for example. Paul gives Onesimus a letter to Philemon. Onesimus had run away from Philemon's service and since he had 'seen the light' he was going back. Paul jots something so that would ensure that Philemon does not hang Onesimus for desertion and possible theft... we still read this letter for 'deep insight'. Do you think Paul thought that the same letter would be distributed and find it's way to africa 2000 years later? It's quite likely that in his old age kabla anyongwe he would have been reminded of the letter and he would have said.. "Oh yeah!... that letter..."

same thing with hadiths... someone makes a passing statement... others record it and 1400 years later people use it to kill others... it's quite possible that Muhamad could not even remember what he said in a certain situation.
