Which means fibre will be nywee in the entire region once Ethiopia and SSD are connected. Ketraco will also have a decent income source without having to depend on treasury. Two new geothermal projects announced as in the pipeline JKIA to Kangemi expressway (and so much more) negotiated for in China as part of the $60B goodies allocated during FOCAC! Dustbowl is benefitting big from all these initiatives Roads construction continues at rapid clip God bless Kenya!

Dont be misled into thinking that the LOIANGALANI SUSWA line has been energized!!!...day dream...the CS took journalists there to fool them..only one circuit is complete....the line is a double circuit 400KV . The generator(LTWP) can not eveacuate power through the single cirtuit while works still ongoing on the other circuit. Siemens are still testing the Teriminal susbstations...the 300MW are not coming cheap...there will be additional passthrough costs to the consumers....Intergration of intermittent sources of energy into the grid will be expensive ....the earliest the line will be commissioned is End of September 2018...EARLIEST

Good times ahead in the coming years IMHO Good and Poor analogy.....the LOIANGALANI SUSWA LINE will not form part of the inegration...There is a parralel line 500 KV DC line from ethiopia to Suswa then to the ketraco lines all the way to TZ...There is nothing like cheap power that will come...LTWP will cause the power yield to increase from around 11.9 shillings to 14 shillings(what you are paying now, why the tariffs were increased last month)....The PPA with rwanda is only 30MW
