To make sure RAO does not become president. In 07 much of the country united behind RAO to make sure Kibaki did not return to statehouse, same way, most white people will unite behind Romney to make sure BO goes back to Chicago. After all, you believe central always votes for one of its own, why the jitters.

Bring it on!!!!

You will be served smile

Ha! Ati if I don't vote I have no right to participate?

If you have 5 candidates and you only elect one, you have decided not to vote for the other 4.

You will have your reasons for not voting for the other 4.

I choose not to vote any of the five. And I will make noise about it.

That is democracy we chose. Otherwise you would have made voting mandatory in which case that is dictatorship.

So in the current list of presidential material, I choose to vote none.

your obsession with 'central' is unhealthy.Shame on you

You remember 2007 and 2005? 'Central' was the main issue. You know the aftermath of that.

But that's what defines Raila&Railaism politics.

We all saw the fruits of that brand of politics.
That's why it's justified to unite to defeat the guy - the butcher of Kenya.

You are truly a non-voter: you don'y even know that in Kenya, there is no provision for voting for more than one candidate in the same office!

It is you constitutional right to choose not to vote: we can't take that away from you. But once you make that choice, you immediately lose the right to participate in a discussion where people are assessing the candidates that they will vote for.

BTW: I will vote; and at present my preferred candidate is Mather Karua. I think she has the capacity to instill some discipline and a breath of fresh air in our public affairs.

Please quote chapter and or law in Kenya that says this. That is just your opinion and has no legal or moral bearing.

We are the Kenyans who don't wish to participate in an election that everyone on this board knows is about

For Raila or Against Raila

That is what we call a sham election. Why participate in a lie?

It's not a constitutional provision: it is just common sense!

But as we know, common sense is not very common!

Australia must be a dictatorship!

Is voting compulsory?
Yes, voting is compulsory for every Australian citizen aged 18 years or older. If you do not vote and do not have a valid and sufficient reason for failing to vote, a penalty is imposed. For further information see Compulsory Voting.

What happens if I do not vote?
Initially the Australian Electoral Commission will write to all apparent non-voters requesting that they either provide a reason for their failure to vote or pay a $20 penalty.

If, within 21 days, the apparent non-voter fails to reply, cannot provide a valid and sufficient reason or declines to pay the penalty, then prosecution proceedings may be instigated. If the matter is dealt with in court and the person is found guilty, he or she may be fined up to $50 plus court costs.

lets not quote Australia, it is not in the Kenyan constitution. So that argument is null and void.

Common sense dictates the following

I can't vote for Uhuru or Ruto coz of the Hague
I can't vote for Raila coz of 2007 upus
I can't vote for MM coz he's probably a project with no ideas of his own
I can't vote for Kalonzo I think that's obvious
I can't vote of PK coz he's still in the parliament that eats and he says jack about it.
I can't vote for Karua as she's full of double speak
I can't vote for any of the lot you have on that list

So forgive me if I pass on an election that is not issue based but still based on the age old Kenyan problem...Personalities with no ideas.

So get used to a large majority of Kenyans who will skip this one.

We shall watch you rave and rant about your heros while we all know in our hearts that they don't deserve to be a maid in your household.

I apoligise to all the maids in the country for even comparing them to these den of thieves.

@Lucid, take a chill pill...I have said severally, that I wait to see Central vote for someone not their own...currently, they haven't even chosen , some are with PK, others MathaK, others with UK...and your group with MM...as mention by @McDoba...where is the candidate?

Does this in anyway insinuate that RAO should not expect to win the election fairly? Should he be ready with a swing state? I doubt @Mutunga is ready kuapisha usiku...
