and where does he get the funds for his projects? Not even the likes of Karume could manage such. CDF funds cannot be suficient for tarmacking roads in an entire constituency!

Get serious you two wazuzus... this puzzles you so much you'd rather the funds embezzled for personal gain... that goes to private pockets , Swiss accounts, etc, and not constituents? If they could sort our issues as they eat, we would be justified in considering them. Na nani amekwambia CDF haitoshi hiyo kazi?
Can you tell us here how much was disbursed to Gatanga and how much it cost to construct these roads?

Maybe. Maybe not. But to build roads out of pocket is too noble for our kind of society. Let the other looters follow this example. Repatriate the b's in offshore accounts and rebuild our country.

It is not that he builds roads using CDF or his own money. It is the usual government financing but you will be in for a rude shock if you win a government financed tender in Gatanga and think of using shortcuts. He will follow you till kingdom come or till you deliver (whichever comes first). Nimeona contractor akirudia sections of the road and they didnt think its funny. You get a contract in Gatanga and the only option you have is to deliver. The guy will visit the site once a week to check on the progress (I think every Tuesday). I do not think that this happens in so many other places.

Guys please CDF cannot build tarmac roads that's the government's work through the various road authorities. I think @ngugifred's expalnation makes sense.

Thanks @ngugifred for that clarification.

Woi Kenyans. Tumeibiwa mpaka if a guy builds roads in his constituency we think he did it with stolen money...! First of all @ngugifred has explained that what he has done is supervise even Government-funded work in his constituency. Secondly even if he stole it, isn't it better used building roads for his people compared to what other people do with it??

When a man - an MP - starts paying his taxes of his own volition, we should ask ourselves what kind of man that is. Furthermore this is in a country where the MPs are now paying taxes with taxpayers' money! Such a man is unlikely to have his hand in the cookie jar, that just doesn't add up.
