Kiterunner, mcreggae et al, you guys should get used to hearing more Raila bashing news and threads. He is the leading candidate, right? Too bad we have a new constitution which might make him a loser despite winning round 1. Imagine if you want to be President why would you start attacking Bifwoli or Mudavadi or Kiyiapi? You attack a big candidate to gain mileage by felling a giant!

@Lolest by all means we should bash him and everyone else, I find it illogical to train your guns at a particular person at all times...... especially for no reason
our goals are best achieved indirectly

@kiterunner, did you know Kalonzo receives more unfair scorn than Raila? We do not see his supporters crying all over the media like Raila supporters do. You arent big if no one is attacking you.

@madammary and @kihangeri,

The level of desperation exhibited by Raila-haters will never cease to amaze me.

Allow me to pour my heart out.

1. I am a Kikuyu from a village called Mutathi-ini in Tetu, Nyeri District.

2. I am a great supporter of the PM and will vote for him in 2012.

3.I am a member of a group called friends of Raila mostly young proffesionals from central province.

4.I have a budget of 100k to donate to Raila's campaign next year.

5.Am doing the above because our brothers from Nyanza overwhelmingly supported Kibaki in 2002. You may not remember this but percentage-wise, Kibaki got more support from Nyanza than Central in 2002.

You support the guy because he supported Kibaki in 2002? My my What a reason. Kenya is a democracy, vote for however you want but do so for a mature reason.

Raila had no option in 2002. If there was one very desperate person in 2002, it was Aliar. At one time, he had made an MOU with Nyachae but saw the futility of fighting the Kibaki (DP), Wamalwa (Ford Kenya) and Ngilu (NPK) NAC party. Either with Aliar on board or without him, NAC would have won. Aliar had jumped ship when he was not endorsed by Moi as Kanu flag bearer. Remember this piece done by Amnesty International..

In October Uhuru Kenyatta was officially named as KANU’s presidential candidate at KANU’s national conference. This nomination caused splits within KANU. In August the Rainbow Alliance was formed by those calling for the
nomination for presidential candidate to be decided by secret ballot rather than acclamation. The Rainbow Alliance decided not to participate in the KANU conference and on 14 October declared themselves the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP).

In April the mainstream opposition parties established the National Alliance for Change (NAC), including the Democratic Party (DP), Ford-Kenya and the National Party of Kenya. In July the NAC established a political party and announced candidates for the presidential elections.

NAC was the main challenger to Kanu and was primed to win the elections.

NB

You did not need to lie that you are from Tetu. Otherwise, you are a tribalist of the worst kind using faulty premises to support the wrong candidate. At the end of the day, its your right to vote for a devil you know is a devil but never complain when he visits hell on you.

Ati Tetu? Aliar.

For clarifications sake, no one should ever fool Kenyans that by uttering 'Kibaki Tosha', Aliar handed Kibaki the presidential seat. It only made Kibaki more popular but with or without the uttered word, he would have won.

Remember, what Aliar was out to do was revenge against Moi and his choice of Uhuru. Amolo uttered those words in pain.

Otherwise, Amolo joined Kanu with only one motive, to use the party to get to power through the back door. It was either him for president in Kanu or he would destroy the party if Moi did not endorse him. Is that someone who believes in democracy?

The boy is the same one.

A politicians most burning ambition is to ascend to the presidency. Some politicians will use whatever means to reach that objective and Tinga is just one of them. Most politicians will go after power for the sake of power.
