You have noticed they stopped printing the back pages upside down? Thjey must have an imbecile board of directors and management. Bundotich, Tanui, Melly, a tribal outfit in deed. By the way, the paper only sells 26000 copies only in a day on a fair day.

only?! What about 'D.Nation'?

Interesting that for Standard Grp, KTN is the cash cow that keeps the paper/group afloat while for NMG vice versa applies.

An obvious fact being forgotten here is that the Kenyatta family (or any Kenyan) despite their faboulous wealth will struggle to come up with such an amount in liquid form. It will involve too much disruption to businesses and is obviously plain stupid to do.

And now thw Editors guild is questioning the role of CID in the case. Is MG genuine when he says that the police are harrassing the journalism yet we are aware that psychologically the same journalist harrassed the O6.
These guys just need to own up and give the source of their malicious story bearing in mind Ocampo himself is using the media stories as source of information for the ICC cases

Its obvious SG got a bad source but police harassing the journalist and the editor responsible for reporting an erroneous report is in my opinion abuse of office and tax payers money. Why didn't they harass Uhuru when he reported an error of billions of shillings in his budget announcement.

Furthermore SG apologized and made the record straight the same day,if anybody was aggrieved by the report he should have gone to court.I dont see any criminal case in that report that warrant SG to be investigated by CID.

I have no qualms about the standard journalist and the editor being "harrased" by the police. The pretense that they might have overlooked so obvious facts in the story tells a lot about their intentions. For those of you who forget easily PEV chaos were fueled partly by the media through intentional and erroneous/biased reporting. Iwe funzo kwao na wengineo! Until the day media in Kenya will learn to report objectively and truthfully we as a nation will always be at war with ourselves.

Precisely!

This story is Rubbish. US$10 million in cash is equivalent to 1000 bundles of $100 dollar bills which are bundled into U$10,000 sets.

According to the U.S. Treasury, "In $100 bills, the weight of $1
million is about 22 pounds." [that's 10 kg.]...
http://www.ustreas.gov/press/releases/rr2748.htm

This implies that the guy was carrying 100Kg of hand luggage...

the area of a single bill is 6.6294 cm by 15.5956 cm which is
.066294 m by .155956 m = 0.0103389471 square meters

Since $1,000,000 requires 10,000 bills, the total area of the bills is
103.389471 square meters... multiply this by 10, to get $10million
and the total thickness is 124 micrometers * 10,000 = 1,240,000
micrometers = 1.24 meters.
So the height of a single stack is 1.24 meters.
And the volume of the stack is 103.389471 * 0.000124 = 0.01282 cubic meters

I rest my case.

He he he,

Mutula Kilonzo used the same 'technique' to poke holes into Pattni's testimony during the Goldenberg commission (KICC) 'proceedings'.

Pattni testified that he had been advised to carry a gift for "Mzee" (Mutula's Client) for his first visit to State house.

Prior to the visit (previous evening) he claimed to have bought a briefcase (a cash-receipt for said briefcase was entered as evidence) and loaded it with 1MM Kshs that he took with him on his visit.

Mutula produced a briefcase that was the same make, model and dimensions (Pattni confirmed) and asked if Pattni would proceed to fill it with said amount and using the highest denomination note at the time... the commission was spared the drama when Mutula declared it could not be done...casting aspersions on Pattni's credibility.

The O.J Simpson trial also refers here ... to quote Cochran " if the gloves don't fit, you must acquit"

As far as carrying TWO iPads to the Hague, someone is in for a huge shock when their Roaming bill comes in!! I know a guy who travelled for 4 days and was slapped with 320K!

If you're on post pay, own an iPad 1 and plan to spend time abroad.... LEAVE IT BEHIND.
