Quite a roller coaster of a day for me today has been. There I am sitting at the KK AGM and one of the directors sitting at the high table with a satisfied smack on his face and I'm going - that's the schmuck who presided over the insider thing at Uchumi, might he be plotting a dejavu? Then I see this and the schmuck begins transforming into a god .....

Wha! i swear this is the year of the nse. Im i the only one feeling like the large institutions are factoring in a non-voilent elections next year. 2 listings this year, 3 if u count cfcih. Cic plans to list next year. The next 1 n 3 quarter years, may not go down as most predict. Now on topic. When will the shares of uchumi start trading, the bdafrica story is so short, almost just the headline. Exciting stuff!

I anticipate a big drop in the share price from the Kshs 14.50 at the time of suspension. I know many guys who will be scrambling for the exits. This will present an opportunity for a contrarian play with the right timing. Of course this has not been my best week in relation to predictions, so I could be wrong, I guess!

LOL... yes, I remember the issue at Uchumi & TMD lakini he was not on the Board at Uchumi so not quite the same as kirubi.

Something tells me there must be a reason why TMD is on KK's board [also on Renaissance Capital] & these are sophisticated firms... So was TMD tarred with a brush or he is connected?

So why in your view does TMD transform from schmuck to god?

I have been watching the price expectations of CFCI, including how many shares have been disposed (< 1% of shares).

After staying on board this stationary bus for 5-6 years, why would anyone disembark just when it starts moving?

Am seriously reviewing my outlook of this stock (+ inflation pass-through, think KPLC)

i totally agree uchumi has been a financial trap. On relisting i expect the price to fall considerably as the wanjiku investors want out of this stock.
Yet again Uchumi is a BUY in our improving economy because as the economy is improving people have cash to spend on goods .And this is good for uchumi.the company has a good branch network.
I am pretty much keen on its listing and as long as fundermentals ( which are good) havent changed you guyz shld take a serious look @ this company.

By uchumi you mean the economy?? I will buy sub 5
