Shilling is falling. Who's making money from that?

I freelance as a writer and programmer and paid in dollars. I also work from home now. So I guess yes I am making money from the fall of the shilling.

Lets all understand currencies a little better! The Kenya Shilling is stable against the dollar @86bob so if you get paid in $ nothing has changed Sad

The Euro strength against the dollar is causing the shilling to weaken against the euro (110-114) so if you get paid in € things are good smile

Grrrrrr.

No wonder the Belgians first asked whether I wanted to be paid in Dollars or Euro. Stupid me choose Dollar.

Aint that 2008 breakdown too steep and timely to be more of the external GFC. PEV could also be the cause of the jittery market, @ChessMaster, those lower peaks past 2007

Peace deal was signed in Feb 2008. Market continued tanking. Notice how the Kenyan bottom occured at the same time as the global bottom - March 2009

Same chart with TA added to try and pin point what next.

NSE20 has broken out of the long term triangle. I had posted the 5yr chart on the 'How to know NSE has bottomed' thread. But I didn't realize the 10yr chart also displays the same picture smile

If the elections are handled without issues, the political noise should be drowned as NSE20 heads back to test 6161 which is the all time high in coming months.
