"...with Standard Investment Bank, the only brokerage firm covering the petroleum retail business in Kenya"

"...the oil retail business has been performing so poorly that few research departments of investment banks bother to cover it"

KK majority shareholders should hold on for a little longer!

Agreed. But sioni wote wakiuza thus Puma may not be obligated to launch a full takeover...

nice one about pple being served cashewnuts.

My friend major shareholders have already signed to sell majority of their share holding. The only thing we are waiting for is for CMA to approve the agreement and at what price they agreed to sell at. After which Puma are considering to make a take over.
Read in layman language(si u know PR lazima), then puma will take take over the company.

Hehe. Majority could be 51% or it could be 80%.
Get what I was trying to say?

gotcha

This article indicates it is 63%...

“The share price has been depressed because of the shareholding structure. We were looking at ways of increasing the value of our share price,” Segman added.

By the way, NIC Securities in September 2011 had a research report of their own in which they gave KK a "BUY recommendation for the 12 month horizon at a target price of KES 25.63 from an intrinsic current value of KES 21.34"

What a load of bullshit!
1) Kestrel covers KEKE as do others (like NIC & Tsavo) considering KEKE is one of the larger firms on the NSE
2) KEKE has done so much better than many other firms in Kenya on many metrics including ROE, PAT, EPS growth, etc
Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

I wonder where they get their info from! Many major brokers have done reports on the oil sector.

Heed my earlier statement. Let us wait to hear from Segman. Anyone writing on this tranx & is not privy to the negotiations is wasting their & your time. Please. This is business.

We as shareholders recieved a direct communication from KK through the Cautionary Statement. That suffices & all other manner of reports outside the company holds no water.
