I am amazed that 2 days prior to the closure of rights trading on the NSE, the GoK rights have not been sold. At least most of what we have been expecting has NOT been traded. I expect that we shall see some of them trade today and the pricing now looks like it WILL be sub 2 shillings.

In my view Dyer and Blair appear to have messed up on this as GoK is bound to get a lower price than what it would have got if the rights had been sold earlier. Or perhaps there is something brewing whose smell might not be not too pleasant?

Anyway the lower it gets all the better for some of us who are intent on buying. I am watching the ticker like a hawk today and I have my bids on the board at various prices. But perhaps, I may not even need to buy from the market as there just may be additional (extra) rights to bid for.

I am worried that these rights issue will be massively oversubscribed. Don't you guys think that if you are a non shareholder its a better startegy to pounce on the other stocks now which are slightly undervalued now then buy up some KPLC stock when the profit takers do their thing and lower the prices? Double hit combo! Whats your take guys?

exactly my friend, exactly. Im kicking myself for having money in counters when i should be buying all the bargains im seeing. Noted, next yr time like this...ill be waiting. On kplc, i dont see the price remaining where it is immediately the rights issue concludes. Its also one of the bargains!
