The truth of the matter is that this useless share is not moving up.

I'm almost regretting why I ever bought this $h!T

@vvs,
I've noted that you don't have any KQ on the Fantasy Mkt. Is it overpriced?

BBI will solve it

Therein lies the problem... you are looking for a 'movement' in price when you shud be looking at the underlying business & environment...

When I bought Williamson... the price fell from 120 to 90 to 55... Now it is 180/- coz the UNDERLYING business was doing well... very well...

If I were you... I would sell coz unless you can buy the 'business at a fair/cheap price' then don't waste your cash/time...

The fantasy market is something I shud spend more time on... I need to look into it again...

I am in the middle of a few projects which pay me 'real' money! LOL...

BTW, KQ will flounder until 4th Nov 2010 (release of 1H 2010 results)

I agree with him on USA airlines coz way too much competition... I think KQ has a unique (for now) position in Africa. Remember there are successful airlines who carve a niche. Southwest (USA), RyanAir (Ireland/UK), Emirates...

1) Private (except for GoK's 23% but countered by KLM's 26%) so less interference in operations unlike most African airlines.

2) Less competition in sub-Saharan Africa except for Ethiopian & SAA. Both competitors are decent but government owned. Hopefully, their governments will interfere...

3) KQ's hub (NBO) is pretty decent for expansion into Africa. China/India will be huge players in the next decade & if NBO keeps up...

If GoK does not step up to the plate (JKIA, MIA, Kisumu) then I will have to re-think my position. I do not know why KQ has dithered on a 2nd hub in West Africa...

About the West african hub, they tried to a few years ago the particular west african govt's BS came into play. I know they aare still trying here. Think about it, even Branson had to fold up coz of BS...he had to rescind interest in VN....

1.5million shares traded over the last 1 week..(5 days) is not exactly "thin" for this counter...above average weekly volume of about 600,000 for last 6 weeks.

Is the share likely to see any upward movement towards book closure for the dividend on 2nd sep?

@Proverb the 1 milion share volume movement u are talking about included the referundum buying spree...what is important to note is that the volumes have been going down since Monday...

People dont panic sell the whole market is in decline...

I do think so. KQ is in for recovery of share value like the way CFC has done. We should see 80% return on our equity by end of the year.
