NO... that is really a weird imagination.

Not material coz it happened ages ago (material at the time)... plus pilot error not a systemic fault of KQ e.g. maintenance...

KQ is down... AGAIN... It seems the report has spooked investors...

So I started looking at WHY I have KQ... and what has changed since the accident & report was released...

After crunching the numbers... figuring a 400mn in additional costs (those not covered by insurance) for the crash victims...

I am staying put & looking at adding to my position soon!

Baron Rothschild, of the Rothschild banking family, said "The time to buy is when there's blood in the streets."

Rothschild made a fortune buying in the panic that followed the Battle of Waterloo against Napoleon. But that's not the whole story. The original quote is believed to be "Buy when there's blood in the streets, even if the blood is your own."

@maichblack - I did not study in S.Africa... In my days, there was a stamp on my passport: "Not valid for travel to the Republic of South Africa"

And the airport was called Jan Smuts!!

@GG - The stamp was so Jua Kali... then they cancelled the "Not valid for travel to the Republic of South Africa" stamp with a 'cancelled' stamp...

Well, at least now I can travel everywhere... as long as I have a degree...

@vitu - Quite a lovely quote. If one took it seriously, he/she would make tonnes of money. Take last year around march for example. Even the midiocre investor knew that most of stocks were grossly undervalued. How many people bought shares big time? And I mean BIG time! Very few. Even the guys who are shouting buy this, buy that, buy everything were no where to be seen. Remember KQ at 16/=? Less than three people were consistently advocating for it. At 60/= after one year? Different story. Safcon at 2.60/=? Equity at 10/=? EABL at 100/=? The list goes on and on. I understand those guys who didn't have the purchasing power maybe coz their money was tied up in the same stocks but the guys who run to government paper AFTER the market had hit the bottom...
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

@MB - I was in the same boat... I went to a bank to borrow using shares at collateral... wapi??? No interest...

Yet, now that prices are higher... I am sure they have an interest in lending against shares!
