@TRS;

No. He is not even remotely related to anyone at the company.

BTW: 50,000 litres = only 5 deliveries.....He makes about Sh2k on each delivery...Sh10k per day....200k to 250k per month...

I guess the gravy train will run dry in the coming weeks as Ndakainin dam fills up...

This is the reason the guy doesn't want to buy a tanker.....bright chap!

@samsa,
I think I have something to contribute in this.
Like someone has said in the thread,you cannot become prosperous by starting big but by growing big.
I never believe in geniouses. I however believe in improvements. Improve what you are doing today for a better tomorrow.
If you start big,you will eventually come down. But if you start small,you will eventually grow. I watched citizen news on Sunday and I realised Paul Wanderi Ndung'u owns a Billion in todays NSE. If you ask him,he did not start by buying a million. Maybe a 10k or below worth of shares. He continued growing.
If you are not saving today,start saving. Tomorrow you will have something you didnot have today. Tomorrow increase your savings or diversify. Whatever you start to do,do it with all your minds and heart and energy. You will surely be big one day.
I have been to Rift valley the better part of my career until pev broke last year. I tell you,the prosperous people are innovative,hardworking and smart. If you are the type that sits down to think you have nothing,you wil never get. But if you work with the little you have,then one day,you wil testify of how you have moved from lower levels to great heights.

Start small!

additionally,I am stuck at your point no 3. The housegal. She is innovative and used her opportunity well.It turned out to be a fortune. One thing that many kenyans don't do is self sacrifice and taking risks. You got to place your life on the edge. You will work very hard to save yourself because you dont wanna die.
By the way,you go to eastleigh. There are hawkers just before you enter the mkt itself. These guys sell and earn a living by just buying those items from the makt and selling the wares right outsdide the same market. Supposing you were to take the same clothes out of that place? You will earn much more than them. No wonder Michael Joseph says his mentors are hawkers and touts!
Why do people travel all the way to NBI to buy some things? Can't you offer to supply them at discounted prices to them? Kenyans need to always think outside the box.
If you sit down to complain,you will die poor. Wake up and work.

Start small!

all youth should look up to mike,the owner of club casurina and those fancy buru mats. He is proof a young man with vision and a humble beginning can go very far. I'm also told he is one of the few rich men who have made money through honest means.

@reiner;

Very true.

I have heard many silly stories also about Thuo and his Citi Hoppa company...how he stole money fro KBS [Yet the truth is that he was fired because he refused to go along with the board's plan to milk the company...they eventually replaced him with Mukhabana whom Thuo had fired for incompetence] and also how he is just a front for Michuki [a version propagated by Mapolomoko Madd,aka,Paul Kelemba,aka,Maddo.....complete hogwash with no basis!!]

Just BTW; Thuo sold his house in order to pay back the housing loan to KBS. The profit made after the sale was invested in four busses partly financed by CMC.....the rest is history....
