Either way my definations are correct only that in the bible it has been 'toned' down,infact i would call this euphemism.I agree with you though that women must see their husbands 'higher' than themselves.

You put it well..wives not submitting to their hubby's has been the cause of problems in marriages...if you show u'r man trash,he'll go lookin for a submissive woman who can appreciate him and even revere him.Its a male emotion to want to dominate and be respected as the dominant one.so sista's should not try and change rules...women who tried to change rules have ended up lonely(martha karua,FIDA women,Wangari mathai-i respect her work deeply)..

To wives,Ephesians 5 says:
22Wives,submit to your husbands as to the Lord.

The some one asks what is the meaning of 'submit'. I will leave that to the wives to figure out because that command is given to them.

For the men,the command is,Ephesians 5 says:
25Husbands,love your wives,just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

And to that someone will ask what is love. The answer is to be found in 1st Corinthians 13:
4Love is patient,love is kind. Now each them is given very clear and unconditional instructions. So,husbands are not told to love their wive if they submit,and wives are not told to submit to husbands when loved!

That's why I say: stick to your instructions and everything else will fall into place.

@ Juliani,Come to think of it,i have never heard of a marriage breaking because of the wife did not submit. The biggest causes of divorce today is infidelity and financial issues.

I believe if everyone knows his/her role in marriage,and obey God's commandments,all we be well.Well Juliani,since you are already married,you have no choice but to stick it out,u made those vows...if u divorce and re-marry..u still don't have God's blessing...

To be realistic,why do people even marry nowadays? Marriage has gone to the dogs. I will be participating in a certain health project concerning couples in swinging clubs here in Nairobi...Those who do not know what swinging clubs are,....google it up.....I am sooo excited about it....some married couples in Nairobi live hedonistic lifestyles.....a throwback to the Happy Valley era.....will share more....happy marriages to all married couples hahaha.....
