There is a documentary about Pio Gama Pinto available on youtube. It will leave you wondering how evil jomo kenyatta was.

Aside from the fact that Pinto was murdered in front of his young daughters, the kenyatta regime saw it fit to throw an innocent person in prison. The chap who was accused of the murder went jail at age 21 and left at 60. He basically wasted all his productive years in prison. Yet it appears he was an illiterate who didn't even know Pio Gama Pinto the man he was accused of shooting.

Pinto is described as a hardworking person who would stay working in the office until 2 am. This level of commitment typically does not exist among Kenyan politicians today.

And this was at a time when cabinet ministers were paid a pittance. Even as recently as 1985, cabinet ministers were being paid Ksh 12,000 per month. Adjusted for inflation, this would be around Ksh 200,000 per month today. (rough estimate).

How far would Kenya be if the likes of Pinto were elevated into leadership instead of thugs like kenyatta ?

I am saying all this because as Kenyans we still haven't learned how to choose good leaders. We still tolerate leaders who murder politicial opponents and rapaciously loot the treasury. Thats why we will continue to be a sheet-hole for the next few decades.
