Still early days! Spain lost the opening match to Switzerland but still won the World Cup in 2010. Argentina lost 0-1 to Cameroon and drew with Romania in group stages but still went all the way to 1990 final. Truth forever on the scaffold Wrong forever on the throne (James Russell Rowell)

They sat back an entire 75 minutes and, even when they went forward, they were trying to throw all the balls to Hakimi on the left wing. The right wing went unused for the entire match. You can't play like that in this modern times. Home they go since they won't get any point from Portugal and Spain. Poor team !! Morocco were better. I don't understand why they were fighting for a draw yet they were playing the second weakest team in the group after them. You never progress on draws. In possession just but of what use is possession if you are not getting to the final third? Poor tactics. Our hopes are now with Nigeria. Watu wetu wa nywele ngumu. There's always a surprise African team that exceeds predictions and expectations and it could just be them. Senegal is also there. North African countries never perform well during World cups And if african teams fail, we still have Afrance, Peru...etc i.am.back!!!!

I really hope he's something special. I really hope this young team is a revelation and not a disaster. ...And the whistle is blown to commence the first match between a full white team & a full black team. BBI will solve it :)

And just like in the past, players got emotional after 1 st goal :( The curse on nywele Nguni continues....hopefully Senegal saves the day. i.am.back!!!!

I will put it this way. After watching the first matches in that group, Argentina will come out guns brazing in their second match against Croatia, who were not impressive against Nigeria anyway. Iceland will win their game against poor Nigeria and they have the physicality to beat Croatia too. I see Argentina and Iceland going through in this group. The only worry here being Finnbogasson who seems to have picked a knock.

Were Saudi Arabia players fasting when they were whipped 8-0 by Germany in 2002 World Cup?Refresh also my memory, when was the last time a Muslim-dominated country advance past group stage in a World Cup?
