I hope the creatures at IEBC and politicians watch and learn from such countries.
Polls close at 8.00pm and because they are well organised, "free & fair", exit polls can reliably report the results; 10 minutes later, the losing candidate has already called the winner to congratulate and concede! and life goes on peacefully.
Will we ever reach there??

Would you mind to elaborate what was free and fair in the French elections, I mean what can we learn from them in that regard, of late iebc has been streaming live election results and the provisional results are known before the next day after the polls, what am I missing.

My dream of "Free & Fair" Kenyan elections entails:
1)ALL eligible voters (i.e. adults of 18 years and above by the voting month) vote and are not denied the chance because they are still waiting for bureaucrats to process their ID cards or because their names are missing from voters' registers.
2)All candidates are given EQUAL opportunities to campaign and sell their agenda, not the current situation where certain regions have been declared as zones of certain parties. We know very well that this means that stuffing of ballot boxes will be carried out unabated in such zones.
3)State resources are not illegally used in political campaigns.
4)The people and organisation in charge of managing the elections carry out their duty objectively, truthfully and honourably instead of our situation where they are more interested in the tenders; some returning officers disappear with results and switch of their phones; results are massaged etc.
5) No violence

..... na kadhalika.

I meant, what was free and fair in the french elections you quoted that we can learn from;

is it that in France ID issuance they do not have bureaucrats
is it that in France there were no zones declared for certain parties
is it that hollande or juncker did not use any state resource in campaigns for macron
is it that all those who were involved in planning the election in France were objective, truthful and honorable.
is it that there was no violence, before or during the elections.

I just wanted your take on the french elections.

the danish PM seems very comfortable on that bike, plus also the official cars that those 2 ride in are nothing compared to what our leaders drive.
