Who will win, depends on against whom majority will vote - clearly people will not be voting for anyone, but against someone.

Opposition-leaning protest vote against current leaders; there is no candidate (from possible lineup) worthy of their votes.

pro government votes will mainly be against rao and to some extent against macharia, salome or who is the other principle.

If NASA can think out of box - put country before self - draft a good skills matrix of suitable next leaders (not that tired crass 'principles'); someone who can spell out a formula of getting Kenya out of abyss....

oh, someone just woke me up from a dream.

The answer is a big No. reasons;

1) We are all beneficially of the corrupt system either directly or indirectly..hence corruption is part of us and no surprise there.

2) The elite as you have indicated ,have perfected the divide and rule approach for political gain,using tribal card...as well as propaganda to avoid real issues that concerns mwananchi such as governance,accountability,Health,Economy growth,Education etc.

3) We have a severe problem of FORGETFULNESS in the country. When a country doesn't learn from past mistakes, there is likely hood of the same being repeated.

This has become part of our culture ,where if one of your tribal people are accused/caught doing wrong the whole tribe/friendly sycophants/supporters comes to vindicate the wrong of the accused. This results to a loop that always puts the country on the wrong path.

What to do? Start by voting right...your vote will count.
Live your life well, don't settle nor conform to people expectations. It's one of the best way to live life full of bliss and contentment.

Just started a thread with aim of starting a healthy informative debate. It was deliberate to give out facts that can inform the question(s) ,and that's why i made the title of the topic that way.I went further and quoted @maka who also quoted Toni Kimani.

That showcases objectivity of the issues intended to be impartial political discussion with divergent articulated views welcomed.

Will it, really?
So many Kenyans (pia mimi) believe its just a cliche - that is why voter apathy is being described as 'very embarassing.'

Personally, am really not finding any compelling reason to vote this time round, who do I vote for?
JP - corruption mingi already - imagining pple like arap mashamba for another 5 years gives me a pounding headache; NASA - a bunch of self-seekers,that is why their main agenda is how to gawana power, NOT our welfare, and all of them are tainted in one way or the other. Arghh.

Now that you have joined this conversation, I have been forced to start thinking with my big head instead of the smaller one.

"The Current Government," as I understand it, can either infer the National Government or the County Government.

Hell NO.

I base my sentiments on at least five of the top threads currently active here at the Virtual Republic of Wazua.

Unfortunately, CORD is the only alternative, until NASA put their act together.

Unless NASA gives me a profound reason to register and vote for them by tomorrow, 1600 hours EAST, I will not register.

The result is that my home area, Mwea, is experiencing a painful County Government fronted development drought.

Hon Martha Karua, Ms Anne Waiguru, and the coterie of other prospective County Governors are not worth the time or effort to walk 300 metres to the nearest registration point.

Looks like the 'Yes' have it.

But I think it's time the Kambas dumped Kalonzo. Hana musimamo.
