@interesting, well said. Its upon kenya Govt to improve security no matter whether its CIA/Britain/Alqaeda planting the bombs. Kenya is not short of intellectuals who can out-think the terrorists, beignning with akina @mawinder here, so its upon the Govt to seek them out, employ them and the security will be ok for everyone. Its very obvious that the current govt employees in charge of security have been completely outwitted and fresh blood needs to be injected to deal with this. Whilst I admire the bravura calls about how we are going to ship in one million Chinese tourists, I can assure that if the asset markets which are hard-nosed were treated to that kind of baloney, the shilling would be going the way of the Ghana cedi, where policy makers have been peddling a narrative no one believes in and each time the narrative gets peddled, the cedi sinks further. With regard to policy-making and policy utterances, I think selling the Eurobond will have an enormously beneficial impact. We often cite 'sovereignty' as a catch-all phrase and it is worth pointing out that we are ceding a great deal of sovereignty by selling this Eurobond. Essentially, international investors and our bondholders will now have the capacity to price our credit on a real time basis. The cause and effect will be seen on a continuous real time basis. I believe this will over time kick some of the more 'outlier' behaviour into touch. - See more at: http://www.the-star.co.k...ey#sthash.e3JMfs3l.dpuf WORD βThe pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.β

Just came across this press release from Ambassador Godec. Seems the sentiments of Wazuans reached him. Anyway, I tend to read such with a pinch of salt but it is a good read nevertheless. If in doubt talk to ur friends in world vision,Usaid, ukaid and if they are honest with u they will tell you what they do.Cuban tweeter wil also be a good eye opener KCB,NMG,PAFR

Our security problems are of our own making. Jubilee and the government has failed Kenyans. We have failed ourselves, we are hostage to tribalism and corruption. Pure and simple

Anyway, I tend to read such with a pinch of salt but it is a good read nevertheless. alshabaab, boko haram, alqaeda n any other "terror" groups have a very close affinity to oil and other valuable natural resources.Iraq,Egypt,DRC,Sudan, Nigeria are good examples. that's why we have to stay ahead of the "terror" groups and contain the attacks. we must also be careful not to be drawn into a religious/tribal/class warfare coz while we do that somebody will be busy mining our oil.
