If the occupants were stopped at the barrier and they refused to stop, forcing the cops to open fire as they sped off to shauri moyo on jogoo road, why didn't they give chase or alert their colleagues?

With every passing day I think Gen Ali was best placed for this job. Imagine his military background and rapport with KDF during Westgate or golden silence tapered with humility..but "we" took him to the Hague instead! nkt

Mc I got serious beef with your fixation on Kimaiyo. He just did his job. ....playing down a dangerous situation albeit stupidly. That is actually part of his job, not spreading despair n panic leading to pandemonia in a critical n highly sensitive facility. Calm kenyans n visitors down with a bulb story while finishing off the villains.....that is the logical way to do it, wakenya lazima wanyambenyambe REGARDLESS OF WHAT Kim DID OR SAID.

Wewe ungedanganya wakenya aje?

@simonkabz sometimes it is better to say nothing at all... Insulting people's intelligence has never been a way to calm them down!

And by the way two of the shabaabs escaped on a motorcycle! Sad

Guru, my goggles strongly indicate that the bulb story was better than silence. Read the thread n realize that this thread is about Kim, not the incident! Kim amewachapa10nil!

I think this the statement above is the main reason the Shabaabs are always one step ahead of Kenyans...

We are just living in the bubble of combusting bulbs and exploding mattresses Shame on you Pray Shame on you Pray

Past 60 comments n we are still foaming at the mouth about Kimaiyo, the incident is long forgotten. That is exactly how kebabs stay ahead of us. We imagine we are too sharp, we clearly have no idea that MOVIES ARE FICTION mostly, that's y we keep wondering why Kimaiyo isn't Jack Bauer....Kimaiyos red herring shouldn't bother people of wazua calibre, hiyo tuachie makanga. The actual incident n how police responded should be the real concern for sharp people, not "how we were lied to".

I'm waiting to hear the full story.

Reports are that a man alighted from a saloon car containing a number of occupants and proceeded to throw a small bag into a rubbish / trash bin situated near Java House Café, Unit 2 of JKIA. This action attracted the attention of a uniformed security officer, who attempted to question and approached the individual and vehicle. On seeing the security officer the perpetrator jumped back in the saloon speeding off.

The security officer notified his colleagues, who attempted to stop the vehicle at the main checkpoint leaving JKIA. On failing to heed the order, one police officer opened fire hitting the vehicle several times; however, despite bullets deflating the tyres the perpetrators managed to make good their escape by ramming their way through the barrier.

Later the same vehicle was found abandoned at Makongeni suburbs in Makadara. Inside the vehicle was the dead body of one of the suspects, believed to be of Somali origin, who had succumbed to his wounds, of note two other IEDs were also recovered – as yet type and size are unknown.

Unconfirmed additional reports of two men escaping on a motorbike from the scene of the abandoned vehicle with security forces holding one of the perpetrators.

The government is doing well not to give Al Shabaab the publicity they seek. The narrative is wanting though. Let us do our part and realise these are different times.

Given the foregoing, it's likely we shall experience more terrorist attacks in Nairobi and Coast in the near to mid-term. You'd to good to avoid high density areas where necessary.

Take care.

The movie version would be like this:
At that time of night, how many calls are made around that area (shauri moyo), a few thousands I presume.
How many boda bodas operate around that place at that time of the night and would transport wierd people with a bullet ridden car.
So, calls must have been made to a "picker", narrow Down on suspicious calls and nub the ring.

End of the Movie.

Thank you Ecstasy. We should realize that the govt would not divulge such info willingly.....but will try to coverup with alshabulb stories which we should understand. But insiders will usually/occasionally leak it out. Kimaiyo needs a sharp PR team.

I know you are part of the team but lying need some intelligence, as it stands Kiamiyo has no bussiness being on twitter.....look at how Cyrus Oguna lied to us so many times during the war on Somali and very few realized.......just a little bit of more intelligence from that guy man!!!!

me thinks kimaiyo has been playing us how do you drive all the way to shauri in a bullet riddled car which also has a flat after being involved in a shoot out at the airport. The terrorists flee leaving the front doors open and a cup of java and then find a boda guy waiting SMh! This guys probably never made it past the airport the police set up this escape scenario including the dead body to create confusion the other two who apparently escaped most likely wako ndani na makende zao zinamwagilwa boiling uji

So which of our security apparatus do we trust? Reminds me of this:

Quote:
Cops Test: The NSIS, KDF, & the K.Police. Serv. are all trying to prove that they are the best at apprehending criminals. The President decides to give them a test. He releases a rabbit into a forest and each of them has to catch it. The NSIS goes in. They place animal informants throughout the forest. They question all plant and mineral witnesses. After three months of extensive investigations they conclude that rabbits do not exist. The KDF goes in. After two weeks with no leads they burn the forest, drink n eat all resources killing everything in it, including the rabbit and they make no apologies. The Kenya Police Service goes in. They come out two hours later with a badly beaten hyena. The hyena is yelling: “Okay, okay, I’m a rabbit, I’m a rabbit.”

Guys, did we expect Kimayo and Co to call a press conference to say JKIA is under attack? No security is not handled that way.

Let him continue lying for as long as they keep dispatching those shabaabs to Makueni.

As for those getting excited about the blast, am yet to understand what gains will be derived from it.We should be worried that shabaabs are very much around and not Kimayos lies.

@big chick you are absolutely right on the role of lies and propaganda. However, the elephant in the room is kimaiyo's social media antics. He needs to get out of Facebook and twitter, and get a smart spin doctor to be handling the media. At the moment, we all cross our fingers anytime a mic is put in front of him. BTW, @madollars version is most likely what transpired.
