Sometimes I wish I would have held on to my purchase a little longer @obiero, True, I too wish I had stayed in a little longer. I participated in the IPO, and even though the allocation to foreigners was capped, I did make some meaningful returns. I sold all my shares thereafter. Then re-entered. At the time of the share bonus, I was out. Now, that I am based in Kampala, this is my favorite stock here. Accumulating at at price up to UGX 30.

It eventually got lost! He tells me StanBic Bank and his broker, D&B, could not help. The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.

Only problem is they took too long to be cleared and I received very low exchange rates. If you have significant dividends say over ugx 600k, you shouldn't allow your cheque to get lost. Also note that in UG, dividend tax is 10%.

The cheque will be replaced at no charge! As for encashments, KCB accepts UGX but charges a minimum commission of about KES 1,200! HF 30,000 ABP 3.49; KQ 414,100 ABP 7.92; MTN 23,800 ABP 6.45
