As a Nairobi resident, am asking myself why people are opposing giving laptops to kids at Nairobi primary, Buruburu primary, Moi avenue primary, Lavington primary, Westlands primary, kasarani primary, Umoja primary, kibera Olympic, langata primary, Karen C primary and other govt schools. After all most private schools in nairobi, including the one my kids attend, have computer classes starting class one. Or you are worried that your watchmens' children, who go to govt schools, will be using laptops like your kids. I won't talk about rural counties but if governors can afford 53m for entertainment, then surely they can afford to build a few classes. Also note that the age of desktops is gone, just like the one of landlines.

Will they also be 'given' maintenance allowance? Why is the government still funding schools?
