@ myks,
That link you gave can not justify KQ ranking of 22. It is a survey of passenger and they only surveyed 56 passengers from god knows where maybe they were somali refugees being airlifted to europe by unhcr. Surely that can not be objective and the categories they used to judge..... cleanliness, comfort, value for money and overall passenger satisfaction.
That link is totally irrelevant in your argument, insignificant sample size, non objective questions and who were they sampling anyway it just nonsense!
I agree that kq might be undervalued but the ongoing fuel crisis, poor customer services, poor time keeping amongst other things make it an unlikely buy.
Suggestion look for other places to park your money in this depressed market.
On KQ wait to see if the structural policies they have put in place, their new flight training school and there training arrangements for training the pilots and retaining staff to man the new plane will be successful. I will also wait for there half year results around october.

Tony fellow,

Your attempt at making a point is lost with insensitive analogy...

Why the somali?

Let's leave unfortunate examples out of it!

Unless you have remedies to their plight...

Then again you are another Kenyan know it all...

Let's stick to KQ...

@ CINDANO,
I am not a saint and i am not the pope! I am not here to find solution to kq problems i have no solutions to give naikuni .............. im am not paid to do that!!!
I am paid when the stock price goes up,i am paid dividends if the company pays out dividends so my only suggestions are in relation to 'MY OPINION' on whether the stock price goes up or down. Which is the last part of my previous thread.
So asking me to get solutions and all the other people who have solutions to KQ problems are just having keyboard diarrhoea and that include you! So when you ask 'know it all' kenyans like me to give solutions, suggestions maybe,to KQ problems you are being ridiculous.
Please not that KQ carries alot of somali and ethiopia refugees who have been granted asylum to europe under the auspices of UNHCR. I was not being far fetched when i suggested that was how there sample was taken.

It appears to me that KQ is not willing to listen but is quick to go defensive. We've seen such poor PR work before. Thats the hallmark of mediocre companies...'..dont listen to criticism..let the PR guys do the panel beating'.

But independent quality auditors have proved it. KQ is given a 3 star quality ranking. The 3 Star ranking signifies a 'satisfactory' standard of core Product across most travel categories - but reflects poor or less consistent standards of Staff Service and Product quality in selected Onboard or Airport features.

http://www.airlinequality.com/Airlines/KQ.htm

Here KQ ranks together with the likes of Myanmar airlines,Tiger airways,Tunisair,Vietnam airlines,Virgin Nigeria,Ethiopian et al.

And when Naikuni took over his vision was to make KQ a world class airline by 2010 if am not wrong?? Give me a break

Investors,if you have 5minutes to spare, why don't you try testing KQ's online booking system. To save costs,KQ switched off commissions to its travel agents and now encourages all to use its online booking system. You go all the way thru and when it comes to paying, there is no where to input your card details!

Now we are getting somewhere...

Constructive criticism...

Tony*

You did not get my point...

But rather than developing an entire education system to make to make you understand I will ask you to read my post again...

And if you still don't see my point talk to the next 5 year old near you...

You won't go wrong 3 can promise you that...

Back to kenair ...

Its quite apparent that the team needs to tighten their belts if they want to remain a significant force regionally and globally...

It would be a shame if we watched a national asset and pride become a source of shame...

@mainat

Facts facts facts... can't stress it anymore...

It took me less than 2min to get to the credit card details!!!!

Let me try and help you;

1. DATA collection doesn't need your credit card details.. (To protect you from fraud)
You can tell this by checking the URL.. always in HTTP

2. PURCHASE is a secure process which protects your card details.. Billing info is highly secured and always goes via HTTPS which you never got to...

There4,from the page you are in,click on confirm purchase (you might have feared),
This will direct you to converter which has the HTTPS address.... and the billing info where you can successfully input your card details

Tx.

Wish is yesterday, hope is tomorrow,Today is the day.

I would advise people to try other airlines out of Nairobi before continuing with the critisicm of KQ,they are usually no better and that includes Virgin,BA and Emirates.

And the delays at Heathrow are practically laughable.

Mali-Got you. Lakini, pass the message on to KQ,on this occassion it lost 3 tickets because I've paid stuff by card before and never seen a system that asks for card number with no place to input the same.

Oli-Not bragging, but I've used KQ for 5/6 yrs,so I know when it was good. And I've flown with others from the same airport.

As a patriot and potential shareholder,I'd like to buy the KQ shares, but right now,it'd be similar to buying Sameer.

@ ejakait,
Good link survey by Skytrax Research believable.
@ all
KQ does have problems but i still think it might be a good buy

Its root expansion is in africa where there competition is not so stiff. Economy growth in west africa and africa in general is still going strong so i still think they are not running out of customers any time soon

They are getting a new plane to replace the 737 that went down, and an embaer. The new boeings are going to be delayed up to 2012 let see how they increase seats cause they are to retire 3 planes this year. Thought they were leasing new planes.

The current p/e of 5 is attractive but should have 1 question in mind. Will earning are maintained??? if you think yes buy if no and you think they will go down well dont buy. Me i will wait and see.
@ cindano,if you are somali pole but im not but i have no solutions to somalis and im not hassan dahir aweys and my choice of somali might have been in bad taste. Pole i hope your homeland finds peace during our or our children existence. Yeah i need a new education system,LOL.
I do not work in a nursery school unlike you so dont have 5 year olds to ask to read your threads.
If you dont work in a nursery school pole sana might been confused with your child like logics and behaviour didnt mean to offend you.
