Who cares if I don't talk about football. I probably don't talk about it coz you guys are talking nonsense.
There shall never be good football in this country as long as players with discipline issues as Oliech are allowed to decide who to play for and when.
And please don't blame FKF. This is a case of willing buyer, willing seller. You guys went and elected your leaders in FKF. So as they say, CONSEQUENCES.
Football in Kenya is made up of indisciplined officials, players and even the fans.
Oliech seems to be your poster boy and obviously exhibits all the characteristics inherent in FKF, Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards fans. Huyu coach ataniona, kweli hajui mimi ni Oliech?
If you are expecting such a mix to bring great things, I think you are deluded and need to change to Guinness. It is real food for the mind.
Lets not go overboard I agree with @Alma discipline is key if you want to succeed in any field...look at the student who manages his or her time well, sets up a proper timetable and forgoes the joys of partying that most of his/her friends engage in...goes on to excel in exams and all the rest gets mapped out...same with sports look at all the greats not in football alone but in any other sport who have given discipline a backseat they shine for a while then as fast as they rose...poof their fire gets extinguished...Oliech would have been a GREAT player he has the pace and power any coach would want his striker to have...he also sees ahead like a great chess player reading the opponents mind as to the moves he,l make....but he let the "good" things of life cloud his judgement....get the best of him...flashback ..." January 2004, Kenyan Striker Dennis
Oliech was part of a shortlist of The
soon-to-be famous five . . These men
may be mere unknowns today, but in
two weeks' time, expect them to be
showing clearly on the radar of
Europe's talent scouts . . . said an
article on guardian.co.uk."...that was at the AFCON after scoring that super goal against Cape Verde to let Kenya sail through to the tournament the first time in ages...rem the other list from the guardian..." Oliech was named in the same breath
as 18-year-old Wayne Rooney then of
England's Everton, Brazilian Santos
pair of Robinho and Diego, Robin van
Persie then of PSV Eindhoven
(Netherlands), Gonzalo Rodriguez
from San Lorenzo, Argentina, Wesley
Sneijder then of Ajax Amsterdam, 14
year old Freddy Adu then of MLS side
DC United and 17 year old Lecce
player Valeri Bojinov from Bulgaria"
To be honest he let fame and fortune get into his head,he let having a chrysler and getting VIP access to the best clubs get the best of him and thats why he,l just be another indisciplined player...who had great talent, who could have gone places but dint he now remains firmly in the analogues of the..."he had/could have been" but because of this and that he will not....
