Ruto probably called the audit because fixed assets may be missing physically from both those offices.

Unfortunately, its Raila and Kalooser's guys who are letting them down. Return the stuff and move on.

does everyone working there an OAR or Kalonzo supporter?will it be like this for the next 5yrs its either you are on this side or the other?

I was once reprimanded by a senior Operations Manager for taking over a branch on the basis of trust. His words were very clear! You shall take responsibility for whatever mess or lack of it that is there. Well, I did...From that day, any other job I took, any other branch I managed, even when I managed a group of them, I would ask for a clear hand-over audit.

I would like to give Ruto a benefit of doubt...I hope its not witch-hunt. If there is any mess, I dont think it would be RAO or Kalonzo to deal with...they were too senior for such laptop, bla bla bla issues...

And the only time one can fear an audit is if there is something wrong with what they were doing. Seriously, why would Raila be concerned on the status of the laptops that were assigned to his juniors? They must av signed for them. Reminds me of the many things that Miguna had asked for when he was hired in the PMs office....

Good people, remember neither the Ex PM nor Ex VP handed over their offices.

A good manager will definately conduct an audit to get a starting point.

I believe its not for malice but good mgt.

As far as i know, the accounting officer in the PMs office handed over to Ruto or you wanted OAR to run around with a clearance form?

Witch-hauting, always gets back to the witch!

If memory serves me right.. the govt of the day (before and after coalition) didn't want anything to do with the PM, hata choo na kapeti.
It took the US govt to spruce up the old Shell building to make it look stately.. Infact it looked more presidential than Harambee hse..

Maybe Ruto figured he'd find it the same way... only to get nusu kapetis and the fine interiors vandalized..

Does it look like the usual govt offices now..Run down old dusty and crunky...?

Considering the nepotism and tribalism angles of our republic including hiring, chances are YES. Although many would have us believe that only Kikuyus hire their own.

On your other question about if this is the way it will be, well.....is that not a personal decision that every Kenyan has to make? How they want to see the leadership that has been put in place through a democratic process?

NARC did it when Moi left so I support Ruto's move. I have worked in three different companies. If someone deliberately refuses to go on leave or vacate office as expected it raises eyebrows. Auditors are the first to be sent in.

Please extend to Immigration (lots of dirt there) and Medical Services.

If the US government gave the niceties to the office of the prime minister - then they gave GOK. if they gave the same to Raila - case closed.
