Muite should deal with the issues that confront him squarely and stop playing cry baby.

Those reading too much into the affair need to say where the foul play is.

Did Muite take the loan?
Did he default repaying.
Was the house cited and taken in as collateral,- to be auctioned in the event of default. Was the house sold to an independed/third party.
Is this other party obligated to host Muite in their house?

Sometimes we go overboard in seeing dark shadows waiting to ambush.

Imagine si kwa ubawa but if wisdom prevails I would not want my wife to bail me out if what my pal was telling me is how it is for mpigs.
Where and how do you lose 150m? I'd understand if it's a business deal gone bad but campaign,no way! Even your salary in 2 terms assuming you don't touch the cash cannot repay that loan. If your wife bails you, you'll have a very broke family soon...

In the late 80s,Paul was in the then regime's good books which saw him being allocated pieces of land and other goodies that were doled out to cronies. Thugi river farm measuring about 334 acres was one of them. Then, the regime could arrange loans with politically correct FIs for the likes of Muite and one such facility was extended to Kibugi to grow flowers and to do all matters horticultural. The regime was also known to make such facilities disappear so long as one played ball. Paul unfortunately joined some bunch of energized and perhaps a little disillusioned Kenyans who were clamouring for change and the repealing of some section in the Constitution in early 90s.

Long story short,Muite was too busy for any commercial undertaking which could have helped meet his financial obligations. He however never missed an opportunity to block the FIs from obtaining their dues, mostly in court where he has quite a reputation. As is true for most, when the flair fades and options are exhausted,Mr Paul has had to bite the dust. With Thugi gone, the only other leverage was the matrimonial home. All these antics even with the first family must have been kicks of a dying horse. I feel for his family which has now been thrust into the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Like the proverbial phoenix,I can only hope that Kibugi son of Muite will rise again. Good luck to him.

Faking mate! But Ochuodho's knowledge on governance infrastructure policy formulation and implementation riding on ICT is well documented in both Rwanda and SS over the last 7-10 years. has talent that needs to be exploited locally, but then again not from the right ................
