on the issue, my advice would be you move out ASAP. He can use the deposit you paid him as rent for this month. do a notice to vacate, in which you set out the reasons why you have to move out. It is important as evidence to build up your case in the event he stops you from moving or you have to report him to authorities for the threats he has made on you.

legally speaking at the moment, he seems to have the upper hand- you have not paid his rent- which you have admitted. the water was disconnected after you had moved and settled in. you moved in october last year and the water was disconnected 2 months ago-most probably he can successfully claim that the disconnection was caused by non-payment from your end.

before you do anything look at the strength and weakness of your claims against his before you jump the gun and regret later or even blame the police and say they were protecting their own.

check your facts against evidence!

I just can't believe we have so many cowards here. The landlord got things to loose if things go wrong. He won't just give all that away for a month's rent.
