AP officer kills woman, self in Embakasi.......

An Administration Police officer on Thursday night shot and killed a woman before turning the gun on himself in a domestic brawl at Nairobi's Embakasi area.
“After he fell down, we realised that the lady was still alive and writhing in pain from the gunshot wound she sustained around the jaw area,” said Ms Irene Mugo. “We rushed her to a local clinic.”……However, efforts to verify the status of the lady did not bear fruit as Nation was unable to trace the clinic the victim was admitted to.

A house collapsed at Myanga village in Bumula District, Busia County burying alive seven members of one family.

And an eight-year-old boy was swept by raging waters of Chemogo River when returning home from school for lunch. A two-year-old girl died after she was also swept away by floods in Nambale District.Area Councillor Jack Wambulwa said water entered into the room where the girl was sleeping while her parents were digging a trench to drain their homestead.

“She was sleeping on the mat on the floor and her parents were busy digging a channel unaware that the water had found its way into the house,” he said.

The star,
Headline: Travellers stuck as Narok road closed over cracks

Idiocy: The geologists and road engineers are now accessing the situation,” Bett told the Star on phone.

Captioned on a picture in the Business Daily

The sentence itself sounds wrong and poorly constructed. d'oh!

Daily Nation,

The shooting happens barely two days after an AK-47 wielding thugs exchanged fire with Mr Daniel Prastola, a Slovakian and the owner of a security firm based at the Village Market, in Kileleshwa.

Is this new? I left Village market on the other side of Nairobi?
